KDDB

edit

Hey, I appreciate that a lot of the Pacific articles need updating, but please be a bit careful. You might especially be interested in looking at how I updated the article to see how to cite articles in inline citations, etc. Raymie (tc) 03:41, 18 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Forgive me, but your recent editing patterns suggest that you may be affiliated with Pacific Media Group, which would have your undisclosed paid editing to the company's station articles fall outside of Wikipedia guidelines. I have tagged the articles, as such. If you are not, in fact, affiliated with the company, I offer my apologies. StrikerforceTalk 17:03, 18 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Specifically, this edit suggests that you may be affiliated with the company. StrikerforceTalk 17:06, 18 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not delete or edit legitimate talk page comments, as you did at Talk:KDDB. Such edits are disruptive, and may appear to other editors to be vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Warning specifically refers to this edit and this edit. The latter edit, while a change to your own, is problematic because it is on an article talk page and changes the scope of a potential discussion. It is better to use a followup comment within a thread to address any changes to circumstance, etc, rather than deleting the entire comment. StrikerforceTalk 21:02, 4 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Samtypicalgamer (ON YT). We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page KDDB, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. MarioGom (talk) 21:11, 4 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
