editThank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Opinion polling for the next Ukrainian parliamentary election, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history, as well as helping prevent edit conflicts. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.
It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Please combine edits and use Preview, rather than clog up the entire history with tiny edits. Drmies (talk) 15:35, 21 July 2021 (UTC)
Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! 2024 Ukrainian presidential election moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, 2024 Ukrainian presidential election, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ... discospinster talk 15:38, 17 August 2021 (UTC)

I gave reason. Why I may be blocked? Block Baby (talk) 11:20, 4 January 2023 (UTC)
- Your rationale(s) was not a valid one(s) to remove content with a source/reference. The statements of a faction leader is generally acceptable when attempting to state the faction's beliefs/ideology (assuming they are uniform), and other sources you removed such as this one with the reason given as the link not opening was not valid as I checked and the link does open, unless you are stating the claim is not verified in the source given. You have also been warned multiple times about edits you've made in the past both last year and earlier this year for various reasons. HapHaxion (talk / contribs) 14:40, 4 January 2023 (UTC)
Your recent editing history at Platform for Life and Peace shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. -- Valjean (talk) (PING me) 17:06, 4 January 2023 (UTC)

Request reason:
Good day. Today, while editing the article "Opposition of platforms for life", I removed content that I believe is false. I asked for supporting sources, as per the Rule 6. Cite, cite, cite in the Wikipedia:Ten simple rules for editing Wikipedia. In response, the user(s) did not provide sources, saying they are outside the template. But I checked and they are not there. Here is the argument of User:Valjean in Revision history: The party is a Russia-aligned party I responded to: The fact that it is a Russia-aligned party does not mean that it protects Russian minorities. The party supported Russia, which is now killing Ukrainian citizens, particularly Russians, because it is not "Russian minority interests", but manipulation of concepts. In response, the user started directly threatening me and writing outright nonsense: Even if you are 100% right, you will be blocked. Use the talk page and get a consensus before changing this. I haven't seen a rule anywhere that says a user asking for confirmation of a claim must seek consensus to get that confirmation. Therefore, I ask you to correct this misunderstanding related to my removal. I planned to make articles about Ukrainian resistance movements during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine and it's sad that I can't do it because of this.
Decline reason:
You were quite accurately told "Stop edit warring. You have been warned. Even if you are 100% right, you will be blocked." You didn't stop edit warring. You were blocked. It's sad you don't understand our policies regarding edit warring; what misunderstanding exists is on your part, and I am now attempting to correct it with this explanation. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 19:06, 4 January 2023 (UTC)

Supplement to the previous one. In that case, I had no other options. What kind of nonsense is this: Even if you are 100% right, you will be blocked? What was I supposed to do, keep quiet and do nothing?

You don't have to keep quiet or do nothing, but you cannot edit war. If others are edit warring, you report them. See dispute resolution. 331dot (talk) 19:40, 4 January 2023 (UTC)

Talk pages project
The Editing team is nearly finished with this first phase of the Talk pages project. Nearly all new features are available now in the Beta Feature for Discussion tools.
It will show information about how active a discussion is, such as the date of the most recent comment. There will soon be a new "Add topic" button. You will be able to turn them off at Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-editing-discussion. Please tell them what you think.
An A/B test for Discussion tools on the mobile site has finished. Editors were more successful with Discussion tools. The Editing team is enabling these features for all editors on the mobile site.
New Project: Edit Check
The Editing team is beginning a project to help new editors of Wikipedia. It will help people identify some problems before they click "Publish changes". The first tool will encourage people to add references when they add new content. Please watch that page for more information. You can join a conference call on 3 March 2023 to learn more.

Introduction to contentious topics
editYou have recently edited a page related to Eastern Europe or the Balkans, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in Russo-Ukrainian war. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose contentious topics restrictions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic. For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor. |

- Salto Loco, I have to assume that while you pointed to WP:GS/RUSUKR in your edit summaries, you have not actually read that page. Please take the time to do so before taking any other action, then have a look at Special:CentralAuth/Mellk (sort the table by number of edits). Afterwards, you can request an unblock and it may perhaps be granted if you demonstrate the newly-gained understanding in your request. Part of this understanding should be that further disruption can lead to a topic ban from this area. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:04, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
