Greetings
editHey, so an admin did a checkuser on you and confirmed you're not Nisarkand. Sorry to have gotten you in the middle of all this, but you'll soon come to view Beh-nam as the bane of your existence, along with me and Kingturtle. So no need to request a checkuser or to restore the sock warning. Have a great day, and happy editing! Carl.bunderson (talk) 07:56, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Hi again
editHi Rod. Would you be so kind as to indulge my pet-peeve and rather than deleting the things you don't like off your talk page, just archiving it? That makes it easier for anyone working with you to get a clear, balanced view on you. Archiving your talk page rather than clearing it of the negatives is one of the many good-faith practises that will endear you to other users aroung here. I can do it for you the first time to show you how it is done, or you can go here. Carl.bunderson (talk) 18:49, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Excellent, thank you, Rod. Carl.bunderson (talk) 19:08, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
No problem Carl, and thanks for pointing it out. Please point out any other things I may be doing wrong, or just not doing right, as I am very new to Wikipedia and I'm still trying to learn how everything works. Thanks again, Rodwa4 (talk) 19:10, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- My pleasure, Rod. Another thing I thought you might find useful...I noticed on of the of the threads on the Afghanistan talk page, you were thinking of re-writing one of the history sections or something like that. Given the protection situation on that page, you might find it easiest to write it on what's called a 'sandbox' and then submit an editrequest to an admin, who can edit the page based off of your sandbox. Instructions for making a sandbox off of your userpage can be found here, though the process is essentially the same as making a talk archive. It's not necessary or anything, hopefully just easier.
