If Lincoln Chafee truly is your cousin, would you pass along a message to him for me? Please let him know that someone who voted almost a straight party ticket for the Democrats this election wishes him well. I want him to know that I truly regret his loss of his Senate seat, and that I believe that his presence in the Senate will be very sorely missed by all Americans who value honest, principled, intelligent politicians - even understanding that his challenger is also a fine, upstanding, intelligent man. I hope that he will work to moderate the Republican Party, even out of office, and that he will succeed in all of his endeavors. Please also let him know that if he ever runs for office in New York, he has at least one vote from a Democrat who loves America. Captainktainer * Talk 07:10, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

editFrench and Latin are mentioned separately because French and Latin came into the English language distinctly, and it's possible to isolate French from Latin loan words. As I understand it, it's much more difficult to distinguish Anglo-Saxon from Danish root words. Why make the chart less useful to satisfy your odd political prejudices? john k 00:44, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
Stop filling my talk page with bollocks
editI'm not the slightest bit interested in your medievalist fantasies. They have nothing to do with genuine history, of which you appear to be appallingly ignorant. TharkunColl 16:37, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
