editHi, can i ask a favor from you? I have noticed that you have uploaded an image for Where You At Tour infobox. Can i ask help to upload Zaijian Jaranilla photo that I can use for infobox? I am not an expert with Commons so if you can assist to upload one for me? Thank you in advance. jmarkfrancia (talk) 05:05, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hey, jmarkfrancia. The poster image that I uploaded for Where You At Tour falls under Wikipedia's guidelines on non-free content (See WP:NONFREE), so it can be uploaded locally to Wikipedia, as long as the image was uploaded properly under a proper license and meets Wikipedia's guidelines/policies on non-free content.
- For photos of living persons, copyrighted images of living persons should not be used. Instead, images that were released under a Creative Commons license should be used (WP:NFC#UUI).
- To upload a photo of Zaijian Jaranilla for his Wikipedia article, any of the following may help:
- 1. Someone released a photo that was released under a non-restrictive Creative Commons license in any image hosting platform (e.g., Flickr, YouTube). A notable example for this is Meghan Trainor's infobox photo or a photo of Taylor Swift performing at a concert.
- 2. If you have a photo of Jaranilla (photo taken by you; you own the copyright), you can upload the photo in Wikimedia Commons and release it under a Creative Commons license if you wish.
- Do note that what I've said is based on my experience and prior knowledge; not an expert as well! However, hopefully you find this useful. Cheers! – Abacusada (t • c) 13:12, 5 September 2022 (UTC)

I do not see this as an "emergency"—please be careful with your word choice next time, as it can relay a wrong impression to the receiver—nor having the article promoted would help your case in the ANI. - Thank you today for the article, introduced:
- "Let me start this review with a line from the song: Di ka basta-basta makakita ng gento. [You just won't simply find something like this.]
- This article is about a song recorded by Filipino boy band SB19, released just last May to support their second EP. It is their first single to reach multiple record charts, and for me, that is a great achievement for a Filipino act, considering the country's music industry is not as established as the West.
- For background: I am interested in pop culture (especially Western songs), and some songs I listen to have corresponding Wikipedia articles of FA status. I noticed that Wikipedia articles of Filipino songs never attain such an assessment, even (what I believe) the country's most famous entries, "Buwan" and "Tala", so I decided this has to change. I nominated this for FAC because I believe it has its potential to be considered as one of the wiki's exemplary works." - You were right! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:14, 19 May 2024 (UTC)

About 'List of awards and nominations received by SB19' article
editHi,
I just want to ask if we can add back some of the awards that you have deleted from the article. I know that most of them are just based on public polls and doesn't even have their own wiki articles but they are still recognized by big media outlets in the Philippines so they really made an impact to the artist's career. Let me know what your opinion about this. ChristusX (talk) 23:41, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, ChristusX, thanks for approaching me. Actually, I saw the posts on Twitter about how A'TIN noticed the removal of most awards. There were once hundreds of awards, now narrowed down to around 80 nominations. I have provided the reasoning below.
- See, I am taking List of awards and nominations received by SB19 to featured list candidacy (nomination page can be found by clicking here), which means it has to meet all—if not most of the existing Wikipedia policies (criteria) to be considered promotion to featured list status and earning the bronze star. After promoting the List of songs recorded by SB19 and SB19 discography to FL, I overhauled the band's awards list last February to hopefully meet the FL criteria, which a lot of the awards listed before the overhaul (link to old revision prior to overhaul), like Prêmios Likes Brasil, Channel R Radio Music Awards, Pop Golden Awards, and several others, fails to meet the notability guideline, as they do not have significant coverage across reliable secondary sources—those can significantly hinder gaining consensus on having the list promoted. Some policies are also being considered, including: "Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information" and notability. Essentially, what it means not everything must be included on a Wikipedia page and must be limited to notable subjects supported by secondary sources, not by primary sources.
- With that overhaul, I have kept awards that I believe were notable and supported those awards from reliable sources, which I have narrowed down to around a hundred nominations (revision). It later got reduced when an editor pointed out on the nomination page that the current consensus states that awards that do not have a standalone article on Wikipedia are not worthy of inclusion in the awards list, as pointed out for the awards list FLC for Coldplay (which can be found by clicking here) and, unfortunately, there were other awards that SB19 has received falls under that criteria (Push Awards, Village Pipol Choice Awards, and PPOP Awards) because without a standalone article suggests that it is not notable, at least that's what the current consensus tells us. That resulted in narrowing the awards down to only around 80 nominations.
- The only awards that I could bring back are those from Push Awards, Village Pipol Choice Awards, and Philippine Pop—PPOP Awards, as I think they have significant coverage from reliable sources, but that will be possible if I can earn consensus to include those back into the list. I, beyond doubt, cannot allow bringing back half of the awards listed that are non-notable and only supported by one primary source, as it violates Wikipedia policies.
- For your reference, there are awards lists of Filipino artists promoted to FL with the exclusion of non-notable award organizations. Take these as examples: the lists of Regine Velasquez, Angeline Quinto, and Kyla, which I have all used as a basis also to overhaul the list.
- I hope this made all sense to you, and hopefully, you understand that my edits to the list were in good faith. – Relayed (t • c) 09:31, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for explaining this. It definitely makes sense. This is why I decided to message you first because I also want to know what criteria you used to narrow down the list. This really helps clear the suspicion of many fans that someone is just trying to vandalize their article again which happened a lot in the past. ChristusX (talk) 11:23, 15 April 2024 (UTC)

[AfC] Karera (Bini song)
editHello, Relayed! I see you are part of Tambayan Philippines' music task force, so I assume it's appropriate to ask you this question. I'm currently working on a new article for Bini's "Karera" song as it is listed in the AfC section of the task force page. I'm currently contemplating the infobox song template during the process. The song, "Karera", is composed by three people from FlipMusic, but three members of the P-pop group contributed by writing the rap parts of the song. I'm currently stuck about whether the three members are included in the composer parameter of the infobox or have them in the lyricist parameter. On a side note, I would also like to ask whether the song has other specific genres besides pop music. I would like to hear your thoughts about these. Thanks! AstrooKai (talk) 16:14, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, AstrooKai! I am glad to see you active in covering Bini on Wikipedia. Side note, "Karera" is by far my favorite in their discography.
- To note, a "composer" refers to the ones who write the music, a "lyricist" refers to the lyrics, and a "songwriter" refers to the ones who did both music and lyrics. The three Bini members can be placed in the lyricist parameter. However, I saw an article that suggests Nica Del Rosario of FlipMusic wrote both music and lyrics, while I am not sure for the rest of the FlipMusic crew, so she needs to be included in the lyricist as well if you are to use those parameters. I rarely see both "composer(s)" and "lyricist(s)" put into use in pop culture related song articles, especially those from the West, so I suggest, list them all using the "songwriter(s)" parameter instead to avoid irregularities unless you can find a reliable source to differentiate both composers and lyricists of the song.
- With regards to the genres for the song, I have not read sources about "Karera", so I cannot give an answer to that yet, but I can try do a search for you. I will let you know once I find something useful for the article you are working on. If you have any more questions or anything I can do to help, feel free to send another message. Best of luck! – Relayed (t • c) 19:51, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hello! Thanks for the helpful insight! I also rarely see both "composer(s)" and "lyricist(s)" being used in tandem in pop-related song articles so it made me think twice. I also decided it is better to list them all under "songwriter(s)", considering that no other reliable sources specifically cover the music's production besides the credits itself. I also took a look at Bini's other song "Kapit Lang", where one member of the group wrote additional lyrics for the song and was listed under "songwriter(s)". Considering that both songs have the same situation, I figured it is more appropriate to list them all under "songwriter(s)" to avoid irregularities and inconsistencies among other articles. Thank you once again for your help, it is deeply appreciated!
- P.S. "Karera" is also by far my favorite. In fact, it was this song that first drew me to their music. AstrooKai (talk) 06:21, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- Quick question, when I list the three members in the songwriters, do I list them like this or in other form?
AstrooKai (talk) 08:17, 4 July 2024 (UTC)- Nica Del Rosario
- Jumbo De Belen
- Miguel Cortes
- Bini (Colet, Mikha, Stacey)
- Hi, AstrooKai! As far as I know, it has been a norm for song articles to use the birth names of the songwriters involved in the article, like how in this FA article, Lady Gaga was credited by her real name, Stefani Germanotta, and her co-writer RedOne was credited by his name Nadir Khayat (Though, I can't find a discussion about this as a basis). I would suggest something like: Nica Del Rosario • Jumbo De Belen • Miguel Cortes • Nicolette Vergara • Mikhaela Lim • Stacey Sevilleja, as obtained from Tidal ([1]). – Relayed (t • c) 09:59, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- In addition, when writing the article's prose, you can use their mononym stage names to denote that they are the songwriters, except in the infobox and the "Credits and personnel" section. – Relayed (t • c) 10:05, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- I see. Based on the credits of Spotify and Apple Music, the members are referred to as "Ma. Nicollete Vergara", "Mikhaela Janna Lim", and "Stacey Aubrey Sevilleja". I guess this can also be used alternatively to what Tidal shows? In any case, thank you for your help! AstrooKai (talk) 10:30, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- Oops, small typo. It is "Ma. Nicolette Vergara", with two "t" instead of "l". AstrooKai (talk) 10:31, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- @AstrooKai: Actually, upon checking, those three streaming services share the same information (Ma. Nicolette Vergara, Mikhaela Janna Lim, and Stacey Aubrey Sevilleja). I just cut short their names in my previous response. – Relayed (t • c) 10:41, 4 July 2024 (UTC)

- Oops, small typo. It is "Ma. Nicolette Vergara", with two "t" instead of "l". AstrooKai (talk) 10:31, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- In addition, when writing the article's prose, you can use their mononym stage names to denote that they are the songwriters, except in the infobox and the "Credits and personnel" section. – Relayed (t • c) 10:05, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
Hello! I have another question. I'm on the process of adding the part about the song's meaning and its significance to the songwriter, Nica.[1] But I'm not sure where to add it, whether in the "Background and release" section, the "Composition", or other section. I would like to hear your suggestions or feedback about this, thank you. AstrooKai (talk) 15:21, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- @AstrooKai: Hi, AstrooKai! As far as I am concerned, that part may be best for the "Composition and lyrics" section of the article since "Background and release" is often for information regarding the circumstances before and until the song's release, not the songwriting process. Better yet, consider adding another section titled "Writing and development"; however, only do that if you can find lots of information regarding the songwriting process that can warrant its own section. Otherwise, putting it in "Composition and lyrics" would be fine. – Relayed (t • c) 17:51, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- @AstrooKai: Hey, AstrooKai! I was just wondering if my first ping went through? You have not responded to my reply so I figured pinging you again. – Relayed (t • c) 13:05, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, @Relayed! Thanks for the ping, I actually haven't received it until now. About the song's meaning, I'm planning on putting it on the "Reception" section instead as part of a paragraph that talks about how the song was considered as a "self-care anthem". Do you think this is appropriate?
- On the other hand, I'm currently working on the article, but I'm having hard time searching for the song's performance on charts. Since Billboard discontinued the Philippines Songs chart earlier this month, I am having hard time looking for the chart's history as it is not that saved regularly in Internet Archive.
- I also want to ask about the part where it became popular as a song on graduation ceremonies, do you think it is appropriate to have it placed under the "Commercial performance" section? AstrooKai (talk) 13:14, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hey, AstrooKai! I personally think that a "song's meaning" is not appropriate to put in the "Reception" section; that section is used for the circumstances after the song's release, including critics' response, accolades, and commercial performance (unless the last two is substantial enough to have its own section). For the charts, "Karera" peaked at number 7 in the Philippines Songs chart, and I found the archived webpage that supports that information before the chart's discontinuation. About its prevalence in graduation ceremonies, I don't think it's appropriate under "Commercial performance", maybe consider a section titled "Impact"? If the "Impact" section seems too empty, then probably scoot the information in the "Reception" section instead. I hope this is helpful! – Relayed (t • c) 13:37, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- I forgot to link the archive, here it is: [2]. – Relayed (t • c) 13:42, 5 July 2024 (UTC)

Music group member names
editGreetings, I am inquiring about the naming conventions for music groups. Recently, an edit was made to the Bini (group) article that added the surnames of its members. This practice seemed unusual to me, as I do not often observe it in biographical articles for music groups. Is it necessary to include the surnames of the members in such an article? AstrooKai │ Talk 11:07, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, AstrooKai! It depends on the subject and coverage. Some groups like Ben&Ben and Coldplay are listed with their full names since each member is known by their full name, and sources reflect that. For Bini's case, similar to Blackpink and BTS, the majority of the reliable sources refer to each member by their mononyms, so it is appropriate to refer to them without their surnames in the article. – Relayed (t • c) 11:45, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for the insight. Do you think it is appropriate to revert the change made in the article? Considering that the members are already known by their mononyms by the general public. AstrooKai │ Talk 12:16, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
- @AstrooKai: Absolutely, don't hesitate! You can revert it. – Relayed (t • c) 12:25, 16 July 2024 (UTC)

Lead section on discographies
editHello once again, I would like to inquire about the common practices or standards regarding the length and content of the lead section among discography articles. Is there an established norm or general guideline that discography articles typically follow when determining how detailed or extensive the lead section should be?
This inquiry specifically pertains to the Bini discography article, as I have noticed that it includes an overview section, which is somewhat unfamiliar to me in the context of discographies. I have previously discussed this with @Borgenland, who was involved in the split, and the reasoning appears to be valid. But I would appreciate your insights on this matter as well, particularly considering you're a member of the Wikipedia Philippines' music task force and familiar with music-related articles.
Thank you.
P.S. I have only recently been able to raise this inquiry, as I was relatively inactive in the past due to personal reasons. AstrooKai │ Talk 06:41, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, AstrooKai! Regarding the lead section, it should comply with WP:LEAD, so whatever included information in the list, the lead should indicate those because we want readers to know the context of the list and its contents (you can also use the style guide, though it is an inactive proposal, it is what is usually followed for most lists). Usually, lead sections of good-quality lists should span several paragraphs—but not more than four—and uses summary style. I suggest using featured lists like SB19 discography, which I wrote, and SZA discography as guides.
- Borgenland also recently edited my list, which I reverted, because that is not the style followed by most FL-promoted lists. There's no need to split the lead. – Relayed (t • c) 14:21, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, @Relayed! Thank you for your insights and suggestions. I appreciate the guidance on adhering to WP:LEAD and the style guide for discography articles. I will review the SB19 and SZA discographies as references for structuring the lead section appropriately of Bini's discography, as well as using List of songs recorded by SB19 for Draft:List of songs recorded by Bini, which is a list article I'm currently working on. Promotion of List of SB19 live performances

editHi! I noticed you uploaded a separate photo as File:SB19 at the Billboard K Power 100, August 27 2024.jpg. If you want to upload the same file, please upload it to File:SB19 Billboard K POWER 100.png instead to avoid confusion and duplication. I have already fixed the photo by cropping out the watermark. Thanks! Royiswariii (talk) 10:48, 28 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, Royiswariii! Thanks for the message. Apologies for the late response. I uploaded a separate file because I used a different timestamp for the video, which differs from the one you uploaded. I don't normally overwrite files, especially if they have quite a difference, and I think it's alright if they both co-exist. – Relayed (t • c) 15:35, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, Relayed!, This is noted, This is my first time to change the photo of SB19 because I'm not too focused on the article I am focus on the latest songs and artist on what they released. I am apologize if I little bit confusing on your upload. Thanks for your clarification! Royiswariii (talk) 17:14, 29 August 2024 (UTC)

File:Billboard Philippines magazine October 15, 2023 Vol. 1 issue.jpg
editHi, Relayed! I just want to let you know that [[File:Billboard Philippines magazine October 15, 2023 Vol. 1 issue.jpg]] i will be renamed as [[File:Billboard Philippines Global No. 1 Cover 2024.jpg]] to add the newest magazine of Billboard Philippines. Thanks! Royiswariii Talk! 12:56, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
- I just wanna ask too if this is will be added to Original Billboard, because they launching its inaugural Global No. 1 series, which is include Billboard Philippines too. What do you think? Royiswariii Talk! 13:10, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, Royiswariii. Thanks for leaving a message. Upon checking, this particular "cover" is not a cover for a magazine issue of either Billboard Philippines and Billboard but instead a cover for the latter's "Global No. 1s" series, which is different and independent from the issues that these magazines release bimonthly and monthly, respectively. So, judging that it is not appropriate to have that cover on the wikis of both magazines. I might have to revert your edits soon since using a cover that isn't part of an issue of both magazines as the lead image of those magazines is misleading, although I'll try to speak with other editors as well.
- What you can do is you may upload that image as a separate file and include it in the Bini's wiki article under the cultural impact section, since it is indeed a great achievement to be recognize as one by Billboard as Philippines' Global No. 1, so long you can provide the right rationale for that image to be used in accordance to the WP:NFC policy. – Relayed (t • c) 13:35, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
