License tagging for File:This TV.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:This TV.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 00:06, 11 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:This TV.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. — neuro(talk) 05:29, 11 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Logo usage in articles

edit

If you are going to use a logo in a article, please choose the highest quality logo possible. The JPG image you uploaded is currently not the highest quality logo. The PNG logo in the This TV article is.  єmarsee Speak up! 06:35, 25 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

You've obviously have not read my message or choose to ignore it. It is Wikipedia policy to use the highest possible quality logo. The JPEG you uploaded is not the highest quality, the PNG is. Please use the PNG logo instead of the JPEG or your edits will be changed to the PNG or reverted. Thank you.  єmarsee Speak up! 00:22, 7 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

What's the point of having the ThisTV logo on station pages, like this one? It's a generic logo, not specific to the station. That'd be like showing the ABC logo in the infobox- sort of unnecessary, and it starts feeling like spam. tedder (talk) 02:08, 7 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

There is currently a discussion about this at WT:WikiProject Television Stations#station article handling of subchannels. Powergate92Talk 21:26, 7 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
It has been decided in the discussion at WikiProject Television Stations that the This TV logo should not be used in stations articles, it should only be used in the This TV article. So please stop adding the This TV logo to stations articles. Powergate92Talk 17:09, 8 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

  If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article WAOW-TV, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. tedder (talk) 18:38, 8 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

This and CW logos

edit

Please, stop adding them. Unless they are local versions of the logo, they are merely decorative and don't tell anyone more than what they see in the article body. Also, the CW logo is specifically restricted to the network article, period. It cannot be added to any other article. Thank you. Nate (chatter) 04:33, 9 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • Please stop adding these logos unless they are from the station themselves. The "This TV" logo is to be only used on the This TV Network page and The CW logo should only be used on The CW Television Network page.....same goes with LATV's logo. It can not and should not be added to any other article. - NeutralHomerTalk • April 14, 2009 @ 00:21

  This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. You have told before not to add network logos to other pages (ie: adding the This TV Network logo to TV3 Winchester. Since you have been warned, this now constitutes vandalism! If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing. - NeutralHomerTalk23:37, 19 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Since you have just added a logo to the WALB page, I will be reporting you to ANI. - NeutralHomerTalk23:40, 19 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

This TV logo again

edit

I have removed the logo from all station articles based on consensus, and all fair-use rationales for those stations in the image description. Do not restore these images to channel infoboxes. They are not required, and unless there is a local This logo, completely unneeded. Thank you. Nate (chatter) 04:48, 20 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

edit

Didn't we go through this a couple months ago? Do not post any logos, This TV, My Network TV, or any network logos outside their network page. From now on, since you have politely been warned in the past, I will be marking any further edits like this as vandalism. - NeutralHomerTalk18:27, 25 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

MeTV

edit

I must remind you again that the MeTV logo is solely for the use of the network article only, nowhere else as the fair use rationales do not allow that. I will continue to revert any additions of the national logo to local articles. Thank you. Nate (chatter) 00:34, 22 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Repeating again...

Do not add the national Me-TV logo to local articles! I will continue to revert these changes and next time, I will suggest a block. Thank you. Nate (chatter) 08:20, 6 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Bonten Media Group, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page KBVU (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
