St. Peter

Your addition to St. Peter had numerous problems (none insurmountable).

1. No source was provided. Everything on Wikipedia should be verfiable by a published source.
2. It was added to the lede which is a summary of the article. Additions should be made to the body text, first. (If I missed the body text you were summarizing, my apologies.)
3. I didn't like the syntax. I would have phrased it "was crucified upside-down at the site of the present Clementine Chapel". If not for the above problems, I would have made the change.
4. Minor tags are for truly minor edits: no change in meaning or likely controversy.

What you added doesn't really qualify. What you are describing sounds like it was part of a TV show (History Channel from around the time Angels & Demons was released?). Citing it as an "interview" is not sufficient to attribute it to a published source. If you know the title, I can help you with formatting. If that were the only problem, I would not have reverted again. It needs to be placed in a body section (e.g. St. Peter's Basilica). The show was by History Channel, and the words came directly from the Roman Catholic Cardinal, Angelo Comastri. Who is the Archpriest of the Saint Peter's Basilica. His very words on the show was "This is the holiest site in the Basilica, where the Apostle Peter was crucified and his blood shed to the ground", he was standing in the Clementine Chapel. This is consistent with the tour guide information we received when we last were in Rome. The show is "Secret Access: the Vatican" produced by History Channel. The show features an interview with Card. Angelo Comastri and the caretaker of the Vatican Secret Archives.

Unless a statement is totally obvious sources must be presented in a way that anyone can verify. I do believe you, but I cannot accept your word. Similarly, I cannot make the attribution, since I haven't looked it up. A tour you went on does not qualify, since the tour is not published.

Not all blanks need to be filled in. You can find some of the details on IMDb at IMDb, but the most important detail is the time into the show. It is unreasonable to ask people to sit through a two-hour show to verify one sentence. Please avoid adding any links to unauthorized copies. In addition to the factual errors mentioned above and in Talk:Salvatore J. Cordileone and WT:CATHOLIC, your edit here left a factual error in place: In addition, he serves as the Administrator of the Diocese of Oakland until his successor as Bishop is named by the Holy See. - in fact, he serves as Bishop of Oakland with the powers and obligations of Diocesan Administrator, not until his successor is named, but until Cordileone is installed in the Archdiocese of San Francisco. Then the See of Oakland becomes sede vacante and nobody is Diocesan Administrator at all unless appointed, and nobody is Bishop of Oakland until liturgically installed. Advice

Please take this as advice from a friend, not as hostile criticism. I suggest that you undo your last edit to Catholic Church and modify your last edit to its talk page. Catholic doctrine, in the sense of the teaching of the Catholic Church as understood on Wikipedia, is not the same as Catholicism in the sense given to it in Wikipedia. We may deplore the broad meaning given to "Catholicism" in Wikipedia, just as some deplore the narrow meaning that Wikipedia gives to "Catholic Church"; but, as things stand, it is misleading to suggest that Catholic doctrine is only what is common to the Catholic Church, the Old Catholics, Anglicans, Eastern Orthodox ...
