Hi. You made an edit with no source and no comment, you just changed the information on the page. That was the reason for the rollback. If you provided a source and I missed it, please feel free to point it out. Estariel (talk) 22:56, 24 January 2025 (UTC)

Ok, let me elaborate more on this.

• There was an existing source, namely,

"屡遭不公后退赛！柯洁无缘9冠王 LG杯沦笑柄：韩国对手0胜1负夺冠". NetEase (in Chinese). 2025-01-23.

I corrected the information based on this source, though I later found it to be a self-published source.

• The source says that Byun Sang-il won the final by a score of 2-1. Quoting the source,

  韩国对手卞相壹以总比分2-1赢得比赛，柯洁无缘加冕九冠王。

Comment: This is the official score from the refree.

• The source believes that Byun Sang-il did not actually win any matches because he won the second match by penalty and the third by forfeit. Quoting the source,

  令人离谱的是，整个LG杯3局比赛，卞相壹实际上一场都没赢就夺得冠军。……但第2局比赛，却出现巨大争议，柯洁因为两次提子未放入棋盒被判负，尽管中国队强烈抗议但最终无奈接受结果，卞相壹将比分扳成平局。而第3局比赛，再次出现非议，韩国裁判现场宣布因为柯洁棋子没有放到棋盒盖，正常判罚两目。如此偏向性严重的判罚，让柯洁忍无可忍公开质疑，比赛因此长时间中断，在协商后柯洁提出重赛，不接受判罚后选择退赛。

Comment: It seems that the source doesn't count winning by penalty or forfeit as actual winning. This is why there are people claiming that the final score is 0-1, but this argument is of course not recognized by the refree.

• The source mentions that some netizens are supporting the score of 0-1. Quoting the source,

  对于柯洁的遭遇，不少网友纷纷打抱不平：“韩国棋手0胜1负夺冠，史上第一！”

• As one can see, the final score is under great dispute. One should be careful about the available information and make a clear distinction between official results by referees/organizers and comments/opinions from other parties.
• Finally, it should be noted that the source here is self-published and hence not a reliable one. Though I made several comments to the source, they by no means validated the accuracy of the entire source.
