Welcome to Wikipedia!

edit

Dear Plinth molecular gathered,

Welcome to Wikipedia, a free and open-content encyclopedia. I hope you enjoy contributing. To help get you settled in, I thought you might find the following pages useful:

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

If you are unsure of how to do something, you are welcome to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator. One last bit of advice: please sign any discussion comment with two hyphens followed by four tildes --~~~~. The software that runs Wikipedia will automatically convert this into a signature which contains your username and the date and time you posted the message, so other users don't get confused.

I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. If you need any help just let me know. Once again welcome to Wikipedia, and don't forget to tell us about yourself on your userpage.

re: reminder

edit

Wow, I'm surprised someone actually did! Thanks, I actually was able to remember without being reminded (this time). I had to cut virtually everything out since it was all a copyvio anyway and didn't cite any sources. It's about two or three sentences now. I would like to see it expanded if possible, but I probably won't do it and I'm not sure there is enough info out there to do it well. I think it's one of the articles that's doomed to be short forever. Ungovernable ForceThe Wiki Kitchen! 19:13, 15 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Murara: Infobox

edit

Thanks for adding the infobox. However, there appears to be a problem with the template you've used. "Coordinates" were appearing twice, the first time partly overwriting "Elevation", so I've replaced it with the version used for Mount Nyiragongo, which seems to work fine. There is a similar problem with the infobox on Mount Nyamuragira but I've not had time to rectify that yet. Perhaps you could check and see if any others you have inserted are OK. Keep up the good work. Kahuzi 08:22, 22 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, I noticed that problem, but wasn't sure how to fix it. Thanks for correcting it. Plinth molecular gathered 20:47, 22 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Blocked

edit

After investigating a report at Wikipedia:Requests_for_checkuser/Case/PrimeFan, I have come to the conclusion that this account, along with a large number of other accounts, are all being operated by the same person as abusive sockpuppets. Operating multiple accounts is not permitted when they are used to edit the same articles and debates. However, due to the nature of the IP addresses involved, it is possible that some of these users have coincidentally shared a computer or IP address. If this is the case, you may request to be unblocked by emailing the blocking admin or the unblock mailing list with your official University email address. This is to prevent one person from spoofing the admins with multiple free throwaway email accounts such as gmail or yahoomail. (Your email address will not be stored or used other than for verification.) If this is a misunderstanding I apologize in advance, and your account will be unblocked as soon as you provide proof that you are a separate individual. Be advised two checkusers examined this case and agreed on the results.RlevseTalk 02:59, 4 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
