Hi, you asked me to post here on this page if I had a question about an edit you made. You removed a book published by author Tony Vets. Why? I looked him up, and he's published at least 8 books that I found on Amazon and Thriftbooks. The books are about LA and LA military history. You also removed a book from Elizabeth Mills, a very prolific author of LA history. Mills even has own Wikipedia page, and she is one of the most respected genealogists in the country. She was past president of the American Genealogical Society and editor of a history/genealogy based publication. I would like to keep these books in the wikipedia writeup. I have multiple books from Mills and one from Vets, and find them well-written. Explorer Bienville (talk) 19:42, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- Explorer Bienville these citation had been previously tagged for better citation needed, and you had removed the tags today. These are not reliable sources for Wikipedia (WP:RS). All of Vet's books are self published. Mills was a primary source (WP:PRIMARY), can you find a book review for her book? That should not be hard if she is notable. 23:00, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- WP:Primary does apply to Mills' book. Her book (and the dozens of others) is obviously a secondary source. She is alive today and was not alive 250 years ago when these events occurred. The book relies on primary sources and writes about them. The primary sources are cited in her book(s). It is ridiculous to say that Mills work is a primary source. Mills was a professor, the president of the US Genealogical Association and the editor of their journal. She is a SME.
- Vets is a SME and his books are accepted as such work. As I mentioned, he is a gradate of NSU and a career military veteran. He is writing about military history and events in Natchitoches history, where NSU is located. The books are not about himself or someone still living. These events occurred 250 years ago. I purchased his book at the museum at the Fort St. Jean Baptiste des Natchitoches, which is the subject of the wikipedia article. He spoke at the museum on this subject and also speaks at local universities on the subject. He is also the librarian for the Sons of the American Revolution. He is a SME.
- I contacted the Louisiana State Genealogical and Historical Society, about both authors. They responded that anyone who does any teaching, research, or publishing in this field knows that Mills and Vets are probably two of the most celebrated authors regarding the history of North and Central Louisiana. Their books are very highly regarded by museums, by Louisiana universities, and genealogy libraries to include the one in Natchitoches and their own library in Baton Rouge. They stated both have lectured in Louisiana universities. They consider both to be subject matter experts. I can give you their phone number if you wish to confirm. - Mills is a primary source when you use it as a source specifically about her book, which is what happened. Tony Vet books are not reliable sources for Wikipedia, perhaps elsewhere. The rules are straightforward. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 19:48, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
- The rules are straightforward. We will agree to disagree. Explorer Bienville (talk) 11:54, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
- It is not okay to continue to knowingly add poor sources, Tony Vets book is self published. This is not a matter of personal preferences, and if you continue this behavior you may be blocked in the future. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 00:33, 13 April 2024 (UTC)

Can you add Hazel Frazee, early 20th C illustrator as an alumna of the AIC. She's googleable. 2A01:B600:6DEB:1:1060:AAB1:EDCB:BBF7 (talk) 06:28, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- She is going to need a Wikipedia article before she is added to any list(s), like an alumni list? Do you need help writing an article? PigeonChickenFish (talk) 01:05, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
Could you help with this draft? FloridaArmy (talk) 09:53, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
