Nessie (talk) 15:59, 23 September 2019 (UTC)Capitalization of species common names
editHello, I wanted to let you know why I made recent changes to Halmahera paradise-crow and Obi paradise-crow. Wikipedia's style differs from that typical of bird guides in that we do not capitalize speces' common names. How Wikipedia handles that is explained in our Manual of Style at MOS:LIFE. Thanks for the new article you made and keep up the good work. SchreiberBike | ⌨ 18:51, 1 October 2019 (UTC)
- Snow petrel, I've gone through a bunch of your past edits and made copy edits to match Wikipedia style. I hope you don't find that discouraging. You clearly have a lot of knowledge and have a lot to offer to Wikipedia. Like every publication, Wikipedia has its own style (See Wikipedia:Manual of Style). Just dive in and collaborate with others to make things better. Also you might want to come over to Wikipedia:WikiProject Birds to see what's going on there. (They just completed their 200th featured article.) Again, keep up the good work and if I can help, let me know. Thanks, SchreiberBike | ⌨ 20:09, 1 October 2019 (UTC)
