Welcome!

Hi PDXBart! I see you live in Portland and have an interest in Oregon-related articles. We have a WikiProject focusing on Oregon-related articles you may be interested in. You can find it at WP:WPOR if you'd like to check it out - we can always use new members. Welcome, and if you have any questions feel free to reach out. --Kbabej (talk) 16:22, 4 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks K - I'll keep tabs on this. PDXBart (talk) 11:19, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

AfD creator notification

It appears you have not informed the creator of article that is subject of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alcoa House (Portland, Oregon). It is required. Please do so. Djflem (talk) 10:54, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello @Djflem. I appreciate the feedback. https://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion makes it very clear this is not required but I agree it is a good step. PDXBart (talk) 11:13, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
It is very much standard practice and rarely, if ever, not done. Djflem (talk) 11:27, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
I will begin using the Twinkle gadget once my account is autoconfirmed in a couple days and it appears to do this for me automatically. PDXBart (talk) 12:34, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Re: AfD

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! Please be sure to search for unused sources WP:BEFORE nominating an article for deletion. It was very easy for me to find sources for Henry Thiele Restaurant, including multiple books. Consider sharing your concerns on an article's talk page before jumping to AfD. Thanks and happy editing! ---Another Believer (Talk) 14:26, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello @Another Believer. I did in fact run searches for RS for this article before nominating. The sources you've added do help, but aside from the book they all seemed WP:TRIVIAL to me. I agree that the book coverage, which I missed in my searches, could count as significant, and uncovering things like this is the point of AfD discussion. I would however suggest that if you're making good faith efforts to encourage better editing that revision notes like "yet another source; nominating editor sure didn't try hard..." might work better if following WP:NICE, WP:NEWBIES, and WP:AFDEQ. I appreciate your feedback regardless. PDXBart (talk) 14:38, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for replying. If you agree the sources I've found help demonstrate notability then can you please withdraw your nomination at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Henry Thiele Restaurant? Thank you ---Another Believer (Talk) 14:39, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Bbb23. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to P. Sathyanarayanan have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Bbb23 (talk) 23:07, 12 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Your speedy tagging was preposterous. Do not tag any more articles for deletion as you haven't been on Wikipedia long enough to do so. Your principal goal here seems to be to delete articles given how many nominations you've made. You don't appear to be a new account. What other accounts have you used?--Bbb23 (talk) 23:18, 12 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Bbb23 it's cute how upset you are at what is clearly an unsourced, biased, non-notable BLP being accurately nominated for deletion. Are you the subject of the article? Do you need someone to talk to? What other unfounded accusations would you like to hurl at me that are likely projections of your own insecurities? Have a great life - I'm blocking you. PDXBart (talk) 06:44, 13 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
PDXBart, first of all, please read Wikipedia:No personal attacks and Wikipedia:Civility. If you address another editor as you have above, I will block you from editing. Secondly, please answer Bbb23's question about past accounts before you make any other edits. Thank you. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 13:29, 13 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
+1. This isn't an okay way to talk to other editors. Valereee (talk) 19:21, 13 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
