Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to One News (New Zealand) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Disambiguation link notification for May 26
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Short Poppies, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page TV One. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Was there any consensus for the edit you just made to remove the SH prefixes? Ajf773 (talk) 07:16, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
- No, it just looked a bit redundant having SH in front of everything. Feel free to revert it if you think that there should be a consensus reached first. Ollieinc (talk) 12:29, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
- I felt it looked better the way it was. I'll revert and add a discussion in the talk and other relevant places Ajf773 (talk) 20:57, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
Hi Ollie. I am going to ask that, if you have the required permissions, to undo the page move you made on the above article. It needs to go to WP:RM as the move is in direct conflict with the naming convention for settlements in the United States. Unlike most of the rest of the world, the only US cities that are not to be name "City, State" are the 20 exceptions made by the AP Stylebook. Personally, I wouldn't bother with RM. It will never fly. If you don't have the pagemover flag (the newest advance permission), please contact your favorite admin to handle it for you. Thanks. John from Idegon (talk) 05:12, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
- Will do. Ollieinc (talk) 05:43, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
Burnside High School is lack of your pictures
Hi there! I'm writing an article about Burnside High School in russian. Could you help me, please? Specifically, I'm looking for a picture of symbolic Burnside High School's cabbage tree spot. Would you like to take a shot and upload it to Commons, please? I'll appreciate your help! Thanks! --Voyagerim (talk) 15:52, 5 September 2016 (UTC)
- Sorry, can't help you there. Ollieinc (talk) 08:23, 6 September 2016 (UTC)

Page Bibliography Orson Scott Card
Wouldn't it be more logic to either :
- incorporate the Shadow Saga in the section of Ender's Game?
- seperate the Formic War Trilogies in a seperate section (series)?
Clockworkske (talk) 06:42, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Clockworkske: - yes, it would make more sense to incorporate it into the Ender's Game section, I'll do that now. By the way, please don't change The Queens (novel) to The Queens (Card and Johnston novel). Disambiguators (the bit in brackets) should be as short as possible. The Swarm (novel) and The Hive (novel) already exist, so they can't be used, but The Queens (novel) doesn't exist so that can be used. Ollieinc (talk) 07:43, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
- Okay, will leave it that way, I can live with the inconsistency (from my POV)...Clockworkske (talk) 11:05, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
- Kinda related to the subject is the template with the Works of Orson Scott Card (and also the template Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game series
- Cfr. remark of creating some order for the novels (books) in the Ender's Game Series : 3 or more subgroups, currently, there's 1 subgroup Related, with only one book in it (example below)
- Having both navboxes at the bottom of the same page is redundant (and has no value), but having both navboxes does has value imho, but in such a way that :
- for general (Ender related) pages, the general (Orson Scott Card) template can be used (with enderstate=uncollapsed)
- and for specific Ender pages (like charachters), the Ender template can be used?
- Both navboxes are composed of collapsible sections in such a way that it's possible that only the relevant section is visible by default on each transcluded article, only somehow this set-up doesn't work because of the difference uppercase/lowercase.
- What's your opinion on each subject?
*Use {{Orson Scott Card |enderstate=expanded}} to show the Ender's Game Saga template in its expanded (fully visible) state. *Use {{Orson Scott Card |alvinstate=expanded}} to show the Alvin Maker Saga template in its expanded (fully visible) state. *Use {{Orson Scott Card |otherstate=expanded}} to show the other work in their expanded (fully visible) state.
Clockworkske (talk) 12:15, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Clockworkske: I would recommend bringing this up on Template talk:Orson Scott Card rather than my talk page. Ollieinc (talk) 22:45, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
Finally, an editor with a significant history i can talk to
Why did you thank me today for an edit I made to the Main Page back in August? --Floquenbeam (talk) 20:38, 21 October 2016 (UTC)
- I've accidentally edited something I shouldn't have (an archived talk page) during an AWB run; I found it amusing someone would edit something as significant as the Main Page during an AWB run Ollieinc (talk) 00:10, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
Clutch Plague
In a 10 October 2016 edit at John Buchan you changed "Great Depression" to "Clutch Plague" (three times). That may be some junk installed in your browser, and it might have damaged other articles in other ways. Please investigate before doing further edits. Johnuniq (talk) 10:47, 24 October 2016 (UTC)
- Hi @Johnuniq:, thanks for bringing this to my attention. I visited the page Great Depression and the title changed into Clutch Plague. Then I realised that it must be the Chrome extension Millennials to Snake People, an extension which replaces the text 'Millennial' with 'Snake People' on webpages. It also appears to change other words, including Great Depression. I'll contact the developer and see if there is a way to prevent it doing this again - it appears from testing in my sandbox that when the editbox is loaded, it changes the words, but not if I enter them into a textbox myself. In the meantime I'll disable the extension. Ollieinc (talk) 00:44, 25 October 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks. I searched for more cases by other editors and fixed them. I put some information at word changer. Johnuniq (talk) 04:39, 27 October 2016 (UTC)
- User:Johnuniq - Thank you. It appears that this extension, while presumably meant to be a joke, behaves from the standpoint of Wikipedia like malware, and could cause a good-faith editor who doesn't realize what it does to get a Level 3 warning for vandalism and then, if they are good-faith but clueless and know that they don't mean to be a vandal, to be indeffed for vandalism. Yuck. Robert McClenon (talk) 15:48, 31 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Robert McClenon: Yes, and a secondary issue is whether Clutch Plague should exist to cover changes by the malware—see discussion. Johnuniq (talk) 23:07, 31 October 2016 (UTC)

Ways to improve Sharyn Casey
Hi, I'm Chris troutman. Ollieinc, thanks for creating Sharyn Casey!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. I don't see evidence of general notability.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Chris Troutman (talk) 03:56, 30 November 2016 (UTC)
Ways to improve Clint Roberts (broadcaster)

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. This is a lazy biography. There are better sources available and they should be represented here.
