Citation spam warning

Hello, You seem to be citing a particular journal article in a number of wikipedia pages. Based on your user name you appear to have a conflict of interest. While it seems like you can kill two birds with one stone by citing your own work, in reality you weaken the credibility of Wikipedia by citing work with an ulterior motive such as promoting your own work. Hi needsglasses. Thanks for noticing and thank you for your message. We wrote an article that added data and details and increased the knowledge in a certain research space, specifically the strain hardening exponent for steel. That is what research is supposed to do. I edited the relevant pages to add some relevant data and information from the research that we performed. It's part of doing science. When you perform scientific research you also have to make the information accessible to those who don't have the means to get past the pay wall. That's one benefit of Wikipedia. Wikipedia is quite lacking in metallurgical fundamentals, so I'm going to encourage more experts to do as I have done to increase the relevance, vitality, and utility of Wikipedia. 199.188.121.252 (talk) 02:35, 15 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
