Need Help in WP:PBUH
editHi bro,
I need your help removing terrorism section from WP:PBUH.
I removed it citing reason why it should be removed but CambridgeBayWeather put it back in.
If you can please go to that page and remove that section by reverting the change done by CambridgeBayWeather.
It will establish a consensus that more than one person think that it should be removed.
I also tried to talk it out with CambridgeBayWeather on his talk page and you can see my post there as well.
Help me brother. Sajjad Altaf (talk) 02:11, 13 January 2014 (UTC)
Your recent edits
editHi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 13:13, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Afghan flag 96 to 97.gif
editThanks for uploading Image:Afghan flag 96 to 97.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:05, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
Your JF-17 picture
editPlease explain what you mean by "It is officially authentic and is NOT my personal view of how the JF-17 has been designed.", when the caption states "The design characteristics of the JF-17 Thunder and where they are most likely to have been derived from." Is it official or is it speculative, and what are your sources for these claims? --Mmx1 (talk) 04:40, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- It looks like pure speculation to me, certianly OR invloved in putting it together. The cockpit and vertical tail are not that close to the claimed origins, for starters. But he might have a good idea here, so I'm going to start looking for planes parts that resemble those of the Tejas, to begin with, before tackling some other designs. - BillCJ (talk) 05:24, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Image:Iraqi soldiers cross No Mans Land during war.jpg
editHi - when you say I created this image entirely by myself with reference to Image:Iraqi soldiers cross No Mans Land during war.jpg - can you please clarify how you created it. Did you take the photo. Did you use an image taken by somebody else and manipulate it? If you took the photo why is it of such small resolution? What is the date of the incident and where was it taken? You state only one other website has the image - could you please advise which it is? It is a great picture by the way. regards --Matilda talk 00:09, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Blatant copyright infringement
editCopyright problems
editHello. Concerning your contribution, Image:Alamplane.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://jaganpvs.tripod.com/photo656.htm. As a copyright violation, Image:Alamplane.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Image:Alamplane.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.
If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Image:Alamplane.jpg and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Image:Alamplane.jpg with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Image:Alamplane.jpg.
However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you. Idleguy (talk) 04:30, 24 August 2008 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Pakarmy1.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Pakarmy1.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 01:08, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

Image uploads
editHi. You have uploaded a number of images that you claim to be the author of, but you obviously are not. This, unfortunately, makes it difficult to assume good faith when you claim that File:Punjabgirl1.jpg and File:Punjabigirl3.jpg are your own work, especially since both of them look like professional photos taken on a set and neither file contains EXIF information from a digital camera. Would you be willing to prove your authorship by uploading or emailing the original uncropped photo with EXIF data in place? That would demonstrate that you didn't simply find these images somewhere on the internet. --B (talk) 15:34, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Pakistan Army Size
editBuddy, you keep insisting that Pakistan's Army size is 700,000. Its not. Zardari was including all branches of the Armed forces. In Pakistan the Army and Military are used interchangebly. Pakistan's Army's size is 550,000 men with 528,000 in reserve. This figure has been confirmed by reputable sources. Please stop changing it. Thanks Mercenary2k (talk) 08:25, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Simonskeffiyeh.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Simonskeffiyeh.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the GFDL-self tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 19:21, 26 February 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fred the Oyster (talk) 19:21, 26 February 2010 (UTC)

Copyright
editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the Nuclear doctrine of Pakistan article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later, and under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribute Share-Alike."
You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question at the "Help Desk". You can also leave a message on my talk page.
- You'll be blocked if you continue to revert to the copyright violation.--Misarxist 12:30, 27 December 2010 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification
editHi. When you recently edited British Pakistanis, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Small Heath (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Slow editwar on Pakistan
edit You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Pakistan. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. --lTopGunl (talk) 10:06, 29 February 2012 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:A Pakistani girl posing with a fully automatic firearm.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Pakistani girl with gun3.jpg
editA tag has been placed on File:Pakistani girl with gun3.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:
- state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
- add the relevant copyright tag.
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Pakistani girl with gun2.jpg
editA tag has been placed on File:Pakistani girl with gun2.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the article name that the file is used in tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
Request reason:
Now that I know which page I edited which resulted in my block, I still feel I have been unfairly blocked. If you look carefully at the page I edited, I added a paragraph about some of Nawaz Sharif's marriage law amendments. His reforms on the country's marriage laws were added to his list of domestic policies since he came into office, with appropriate references added to those paragraphs. I don't see any wrongdoing on that
Decline reason:
I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
- the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
- the block is no longer necessary because you
- understand what you have been blocked for,
- will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
- will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. John (talk) 10:49, 21 June 2014 (UTC)
