Bogus RFPP reports
editRegarding this report; that article hasn't had a vandalism revert since July. Please don't use RFPP unless you understand our WP:PROTECTION policy. OhNoitsJamie Talk 18:23, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
This is not true It's unfortunate my good faith efforts have been labeled as bogus: I made it in good faith, applying the policy as written;
I created a report because the last IP edits have been Silly vandalism, as in Wikipedia:Vandalism. I have fully read Wikipedia:PROTECTION, and the criteria for semi-protection:
- All or almost all the vandalism is coming from IP addresses. (Yes)
- Unregistered editors should be making very few quality contributions to the article compared to the amount of vandalism coming from unregistered editors (Yes)
- There are regularly many new vandals (Yes)
Articles about kids toys are prone to vandalism, specially this one.

- By the way, Wikipedia:Protection_policy should be clearer about the time frame: I looked at the last few edits and found significant Silly vandalism, even though not in the last few months. NiceWikiEditor5 (talk) 18:48, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
- If you think we should protect an article that was last vandalized three months ago, that indicates to me that you don't understand our policy yet. OhNoitsJamie Talk 20:56, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
- I assumed just look at the last few edits was enough. I now know to account for the time frame. Thank you. NiceWikiEditor5 (talk) 23:26, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
