Image without license
editUnspecified source for Image:Tacticalbatongroup2.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Tacticalbatongroup2.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:04, 24 July 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Image copyright problem with Image:PSP Ten Most Wanted.gif
editThank you for uploading Image:PSP Ten Most Wanted.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. J Milburn (talk) 15:51, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
Explanation
editThe PSP Ten Most Wanted list was deleted because... well, because it wasn't an article. I suggest that you read our guidelines for what an article should and shouldn't be.
Also, I apologize for the delay in responding; because you left your message on my userpage instead of my talkpage, I didn't see it until today. DS (talk) 14:20, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Thanks
editThanks for the message of support:) Please stick up for the article on the AFD page if you feel it should be kept:) Thanks again, Malick78 (talk) 15:19, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
Good faith?
editWhat exactly is this supposed to mean? I'm sure you're aware of our policies regarding assuming good faith and civility. --15:29, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
- Not quite sure who wrote this but I was merely giving well wishes on his debate over the deletion. I haven't had very good luck "overturning" AFD noms. Mrmcdonnell (talk) 15:51, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
Your edit to Centralia, Pennsylvania
editWelcome, and thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test on the page Centralia, Pennsylvania worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment further, please use the sandbox or show preview button. For description how to include images in articles see Wikipedia:Picture_tutorial. --pabouk (talk) 14:19, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
- Tag is fixed. This should no longer be an issue. Mrmcdonnell (talk) 20:34, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Centralia Map 1.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Centralia Map 1.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 03:06, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
- There is a new article about Peckhammer TV, preserving your contributions to the original peckhammer.blip.tv article. Peckhammer was written about in Sound Rider, which provided cites for notability. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Souris40 (talk • contribs) 03:53, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I'm an admin at the wikimedia commons, and I'm fairly sure that this image would qualify as PD-ineligible. Simple text is not eligible for copyright, and as those are the only elements of the image, it shouldn't need an FUR. -mattbuck (Talk) 03:49, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
- I would say that it qualifies for {{PD-ineligible}}. -mattbuck (Talk) 15:13, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
I disagree with your edit of the page. Todd Domboski IS the reason why Centralia is on the map and is responsible for it's early notoriety. Please explain how it's not relevant nor deserving of a redirect to main article. Mrmcdonnell (talk) 22:20, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
- I didn't make any edits with regards to the subject's notability. It appears you may have me confused with User:Nouse4aname. --Bossi (talk • gallery • contrib) 23:12, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
Oops! My apologies. I'm not sure how I goofed that up. Thanks for clarification.Mrmcdonnell (talk) 23:54, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
- This and this are what I'm talking about. Mrmcdonnell (talk) 23:57, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
- Ahh, that's just basic formatting to keep it in sync with general Wikipedia practice. I'm keeping out of the notability discussion regarding the separate article itself. --Bossi (talk • gallery • contrib) 02:13, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
Leonard Harrison State Park photos
editThanks for your photos. I removed the gallery as they are generally discouraged in FA articles per the MOS. I did move the creek photo up into the article and removed the Important Bird Area terrace photo as the MOS says not to sandwich text between images. I also added a fair use rationale to the statue image. Could you move the gallery images to Commons so they are in the park category there? All of this is discussed on the park's talk page, please weigh in there and thanks for the lovely photos. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 18:38, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks?!
The statue image should have already had fair use rationale attached.Mrmcdonnell (talk) 20:41, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
- Nevermind, I see what you did there. Thanks! Mrmcdonnell (talk) 21:24, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
- I also added the photo of Pine Creek in the parks to Colton Point State Park - it is also lovely. It looks as if it was taken looking south (downstream), so LHSP is on the left and CPCSP is on the right. Is that right? Thanks again, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 23:16, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
- That's correct. Good eye!! Mrmcdonnell (talk) 23:22, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks?!
Hi Mrmcdonnell - any reason why you added extra stub templates to this article when it was already correctly stubbed at the bottom of the article (which is where stub templates should go anyway)?
- My fault. I honestly just didn't see the stub tags way at the bottom. Mrmcdonnell (talk) 02:22, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
Image tagging for File:Chicago River St Patricks Day 08edit.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Chicago River St Patricks Day 08edit.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. To add this information, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Articles for deletion nomination of Police dispatchers in Pennsylvania
editI have nominated Police dispatchers in Pennsylvania, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Police dispatchers in Pennsylvania. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Conflicted licensing on image File:Leonard Harrison CCC Statue Sunset.JPG
editThe above noted image or media file appears to have conflicted licensing. As an image cannot be both 'free' and 'unfree', a check of the exact status of this media/image concerned is advised.Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:21, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:United Airlines Flight 624 2.jpg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:United Airlines Flight 624 2.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:13, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
Possibly unfree File:Centralia Map 1.jpg
editA file that you uploaded or altered, File:Centralia Map 1.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you object to the listing for any reason. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 18:09, 10 June 2014 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:United Airlines Flight 624 3.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:United Airlines Flight 624 3.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Finnusertop (talk ⋅ contribs) 23:15, 11 February 2019 (UTC)
