  Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Cadbury World: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template index/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. RPI2026F1 (talk) 17:26, 11 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

OK,thanks. Moons of Io (talk) 17:27, 11 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Remove Deletion Tag

edit

Why are you adding deletion tag in this article Krishnarthiindia (talk) 14:56, 15 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

do you mean the tag that had previously been in place and then removed without addressing the issue? Moons of Io (talk) 15:36, 15 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Beate Heister scams

edit

I can well understand why you removed the rather crude and anonymous revision 1160397748 from Beate Heister but if you look at the edit history of this page, several such edits have been attempted. There really is an active scam campaign linking to this page, and it would be good if it could somehow be addressed directly on the page! Is there a wikipedia tag for this purpose? — OttoMäkelä (talk) 07:46, 16 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I can't imagine that there is anything Wikipedia can do about people claiming to be a celebrity and trying to scam someone, And I can't see how anyone can "use a wikipedia article" to carry out a scam. Moons of Io (talk) 11:00, 16 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

I noticed you reverted my edit to Laser Kiwi flag. According to the New Zealand Government and Cambridge University Press, the name of the flag is not "Fire the Laser" but "Fire the Lazer". A.FLOCK (talk) 15:42, 18 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

DON'T revert--it's no use. This child gets off on that, and the more you roll back, the more we have to clean up. User:InDimensional, User:My Pants Metal, you too. They're not done. Just report and leave it be. Drmies (talk) 03:36, 5 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

You will find that they vandalize articles about emotions and disturbances--for obvious reasons I think. It's kind of sad. Oh, they're using proxies from North Africa. Drmies (talk) 03:39, 5 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

your recent edit to the lead of The Cass Review

edit

I know it is annoying when someone POV pushes a lead of a section, but you clearly know how to revert an edit. The inclusion of this edit did nothing to improve the page and introduced a larger POV and WP:Fringe ideas. Wikipedia:GENSEX As a notifier of the topic nature and that contentious topic rules apply. Please refrain from such edits in the future LunaHasArrived (talk) 12:52, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Introduction to contentious topics

edit

You have recently edited a page related to gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
