- An RfC proposing an off-wiki LTA database has been closed. The proposal was broadly supported, with further discussion required regarding what to do with the existing LTA database and defining access requirements. Such a tool/database formed part of the Community health initiative's successful grant proposal.
- Some clarifications have been made to the community banning and unblocking policies that effectively sync them with current practice. Specifically, the community has reached a consensus that when blocking a user at WP:AN or WP:ANI, it is considered a "community sanction", and administrators cannot unblock unilaterally if the user has not successfully appealed the sanction to the community.
- An RfC regarding the bot policy has closed with changes to the section describing restrictions on cosmetic changes.
- Users will soon be able to blacklist specific users from sending them notifications.
- Following the 2017 elections, the new members of the Board of Trustees include Raystorm, Pundit and Doc James. They will serve three-year terms.
My apologies and request
editI... I want to... apologize about what happened between us last year. My behavior toward you was... inconsiderate and... I don't know what else to say to you other than "I'm sorry". My remorseful sentiments are getting me. To make up to you, I would like a request to log this to Wikipedia:Arbitration/Index/Declined requests, which I presume you forgot. I hope no hard feelings between us, right? --George Ho (talk) 22:39, 3 June 2017 (UTC)
- No hard feelings, and thanks for the poke. All the best, Miniapolis 22:48, 3 June 2017 (UTC)
- You're welcome. :) --George Ho (talk) 22:59, 3 June 2017 (UTC)

editHi there
I would like to take up a discussion about a page you've added to wikipedia "slavs". There are some major revisions necessary as the information is a little to general. I don't want to make any changes without consulting you first. I'm not sure this is the right way to reach you.
Best regards — Preceding unsigned comment added by Klemczak (talk • contribs) 12:22, 8 June 2017 (UTC)
- I didn't add that page to WP, because I'm not qualified to write such an article; I think I copyedited it a while ago in response to a request to the Guild of Copy Editors. Verifiable, neutral information is always welcome. BTW, I noticed your 2009 welcome and am surprised that you didn't sign your post with four tildes. All the best, Miniapolis 13:31, 8 June 2017 (UTC)
- talk page stalker I think you just killed me... Keira1996 22:22, 8 June 2017 (UTC)
- Huh? Miniapolis 23:23, 8 June 2017 (UTC)
- "BTW, I noticed your 2009 welcome and am surprised that you didn't sign your post with four tildes." still chuckling over that. Keira1996 23:50, 8 June 2017 (UTC)
- Why? They may (or may not) be a sleeper sock, but I AGF until evidence indicates otherwise. What's it to you? Miniapolis 00:13, 9 June 2017 (UTC)
- Nothing - just found your comment on a welcome post from 2009 mildly entertaining. Keira1996 06:58, 9 June 2017 (UTC)

editHi, I've briefly looked through your edits and I've noticed that a lot of changes you've made changed the meaning of sentences. For example, where it says she recorded songs for TV commercials youve changed that to 'she recorded commercials', that's just an example and there's plenty of them. What I would suggest is that you read previous versions again and correct that, cause at the moment its all a bit iffy. ArturSik (talk) 12:55, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
- I was giving the page an FAC-quality copyedit. The prose bar for FACs is considerably higher than it is for GANs, and I was tightening up the prose to an encyclopedic (as opposed to promotional) standard. Since you're unhappy with my work, I'll mark it {{Partly done}}, leave it for another editor and move on. Miniapolis 13:01, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
- I don't think there's need for that. I'm generally happy with your edits, just wanted to point out few things. I've read everything through again, changed few things I thought weren't 100% right and I think you can carry on with your work whenever you're ready. Thank you so much for the help. ArturSik (talk) 16:08, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
- When I finish Nantes (in about a week, probably, since it's a long article), I'll go back to it unless someone else has taken it over. Miniapolis 19:48, 10 June 2017 (UTC)

GOCE elections
editWhy is it coming out 1., 1. instead of 1., 2 at Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Coordinators/2017/2 under Keira? – Corinne (talk) 23:09, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
- Because of the skipped space, which I removed. Bullet lists work the same way; skipping a space messes them up. All the best, Miniapolis 23:36, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
Thank you!
editHello Miniapolis, 122.108.141.214 has given you a jar of berlingot nantais, for completing the copyedit of Nantes! You see, these things promote WikiLove and hopefully this has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by giving someone else a jar of berlingot nantais! Enjoy! Thank you for your help! | |
- Thank you for indulging my sweet tooth :-). Glad to help, and sorry for the delay. Good luck and all the best, Miniapolis 01:40, 21 June 2017 (UTC)
