The article WHBS has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
The station is very new to air (November 2024) and lacks independent significant coverage. It is generally the case that new stations in the last 10 years lack this due to decreased coverage of broadcast radio. The likely alternative to deletion is a retarget to Morgan Murphy Media, which should list this station.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 03:22, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
- No other industry is held to a 10 year standard when creating new Wikipedia articles, so why should broadcast media be held to a higher standard? New articles were created for WHST which was also won in this auction so why should this station be treated any different? This station is licensed by the FCC, serving it's community of license, and is broadcasting a format to a region of the state that lacks internet and television coverage. This is the first new radio station in this region in decades, how is this not significant? Michi906 (talk) 00:45, 25 December 2024 (UTC)
