Project space discussions

edit

Hello! I noticed I've seen your name around admin accountability discussions yesterday and today. I broadly agree with you insofar as admins needing to be held to a high standard and I've said so in these discussions, but I figure that's why it would be appropriate for this message to come from me: it generally doesn't work out well when someone jumps immediately into fraught project space discussions all at once, especially at the administrator's noticeboard. If you want to get more involved in the community, then by all means, I encourage it! We need fresh blood to keep things working. But I'd try to avoid these more heated issues for the time being. FWIW, they do say on their user that they usually edit logged out. Which I did for probably a decade before we could just stay logged in long term: I only logged in if a particular edit required it. Although Magischzwei, if you do want to contribute in project space, which it appears you do as almost all of your logged in edits are there, it is a good idea to log in and just click on the 'stay logged in' button. It lets people see that you tend to be reasonable, tend to listen, tend to try to find compromise and consensus. When you have only 90 edits and almost all of them are to project space, it doesn't show anyone that you're actually here to build an encyclopedia. Valereee (talk) 16:53, 21 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
