Immediate Care Wichita

edit

Thank you for your message. This article was tagged by another editor for speedy deletion. When I reviewed it, I saw that the content did not resemble an encyclopedic article in any way, was minded to agree and so deleted it. Kind regard. --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 20:38, 9 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

I tagged the article for deletion because it appeared to be an unremarkable business. Whether it is unique in South Central Kansas is not a criterion for notability, and simply adding a hangon tag or removing the speedy tag is not "successfully contesting" the proposed deletion - you may not remove speedy deletion tags from an article you created. You also appear to misunderstand deletion policy in general. Non-notable businesses may be speedily deleted. I suggest you acquaint yourself with wikipedia's standards for corporate notability and examine whether this particular business meets those standards: attention solely by local media is not an indication of notability. Other sources of more than a purely local nature will be necessary to establish notability: if you can provide such sources, I will be happy to advise you. Most local newspapers write articles on local businesses as a matter of general interest, but it does not establish notability on Wikipedia. Acroterion (talk) 21:04, 9 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Final Warning

edit

(crossposted) Given that he says specifically that he was not using it in a homophobic sense, it is unfair to characterise it as such. If you continue to ignore users who have told you why the article was deleted under an appropriate process (five day deletion is not a "right" - compare WP:PROD and WP:CSD), you will be blocked for disruption Fritzpoll (talk) 21:23, 9 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

"Trolling"

edit

In on-line forum terminology, "trolling" means posting messages meant to provoke or perplex. It has nothing to do with the gay slang sense of "troll" as an old, unpleasant man who hits on younger men.

You asked me about retrieving your previous text. You can get it from the deleting admins, User talk:Redvers or User talk:Malcolmxl5.—Largo Plazo (talk) 00:53, 10 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
