Nutcharut Wongharuthai moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Nutcharut Wongharuthai, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Template:2019–20 coronavirus pandemic data/Germany medical cases chart
edit@Käptn Weltall: Thanks for keeping Template:2019–20 coronavirus pandemic data/Germany medical cases chart updated. I have a question about your latest edit. The RKI 29.03.2020 00:00 update does not appear on the given source [1] as of now.[2] If you have it from somewhere else, could you please add that source to the template? Renerpho (talk) 04:00, 29 March 2020 (UTC)
- It's another RKI page with some graphical and interactive features that is directly linked on Fallzahlen.html. The figures usually appear there a bit earlier but are generally the same as those found at Fallzahlen.html. To avoid confusion I added that link to the template. --Käptn Weltall (talk) 07:47, 29 March 2020 (UTC)

Hello. I regularly maintain the daily figures from the Robert Koch Institute on this page. I see that you included two new charts (New cases per active case & new deaths per active case). Could you please let me know what is the source of this data and what is your formula for calculating these? JackUKElliott (talk) 07:05, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
- Hi JackUKElliott! Source is RKI. Active cases is cumulated cases minus recoveries minus deaths. New cases per active case is cumulated cases minus cumulated cases of the previous day divided by active cases of te previuous day multiplied by 100 yielding percentage. New deaths per active case is cumulated deaths minus cumulated deaths of the previous day divided by active cases of te previuous day multiplied by 100 yielding percentage. -- Kohraa Mondel (talk) 08:34, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Kohraa Mondel. Thank you for the clarification. I have one more question: Why do you use the previous day's cumulative number of cases for new cases and new deaths released today? Why are you not using the current day's figures for all? For example, on 20 April, RKI released 141,672 cumulative cases, 1,775 new cases, 4,404 cumulative deaths, 110 new deaths, 91,500 cumulative recoveries. On 21 April, RKI released 143,457 cumulative cases, 1,785 new cases, 4,598 cumulative deaths, 194 new deaths, 95200 cumulative recoveries. If I want to calculate New cases per active case for the latest released data on 21 April, I would be using the following formula: 1785/(143547-4598-95200)% and this would give me 4.09%. However, you seem to be using the following formula: 1785/(141672-4404-91500)%, which gives you 3.90%. Why are you diving today's release of new cases data to yesterday's release of cumulative cases, cumulative deaths and cumulative recoveries, instead of doing that division by today's released data? JackUKElliott (talk) 11:29, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
- To depict development. I assume those newly infected within one day to be infected by those that have been actively carrying the corona virus before the beginning of the interval of consideration (a day). The same goes for deaths. If you have a look at the cumulative cases at the top of the article, you'll also see the daily percentage calculated on the basis of the previous days cumulated cases: For April 21 it's (143457-141672)/141672 = 0.013 = 1.3%. -- Kohraa Mondel (talk) 11:46, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you. Which article are you referring to? JackUKElliott (talk) 12:04, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
- The article heading this paragraph, for unknown reasons within chapter 2020 coronavirus pandemic in Germany#Timeline_by_state you'll find figure COVID-19 cases in Germany at the top left. -- Kohraa Mondel (talk) 12:13, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
