TGP
editWell, TGP is a disambiguation page, so I don't think it should have any external links at all. They can be added to the relevant articles, if need be. Were there links you wanted to add or remove? As for pizza, is there some sort of consensus on the talk page for "pizzadelivery.com"? It doesn't appear to be helpful at all. Non-free use disputed for Image:Robert gass awakenings.jpg
editThis file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Robert gass awakenings.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:50, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Robert gass awakenings.jpg)
editThanks for uploading Image:Robert gass awakenings.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:33, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs
editHello Jsderwin! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 139 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
- John Marshall (musician) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

License tagging for File:Ewan5.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Ewan5.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 04:05, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:Ewan5.jpg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:Ewan5.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 03:43, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

Removing AfD template
editWelcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Micah Armstrong. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it. Snotbot t • c » 06:42, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
- That article was resolved as a keep, so I removed the AfD template. Please view the results here. If this information is incorrect please let me know. --Jsderwin (talk) 10:37, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
Hi you are welcome to fix Category:Lazarus taxon. It was recursively part of itself and not a member of any parent category. If you can figure out a better category please replace it! Graeme Bartlett (talk) 10:59, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
- the links between categories should not form a loop. If there was a generic "category:taxon" that would make sense as the parent. The parent should be a broader term. Perhaps it could go under Category:Types of scientific fallacy although this would count as a former fallacy or error. Or perhaps category:Obsolete scientific theories Graeme Bartlett (talk) 20:03, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
Hello, I noticed that you placed the {{edit semi-protected}}
template on Talk:Newtown, Connecticut. I'm curious as to the intent behind your edit, as 1) the article is currently not semi-protected (though I do see you have placed a request at WP:RFPP), and 2) even if it was semi-protected you should be able to make any edits yourself. If you need help please let me know and I'll see what I can do. —KuyaBriBriTalk 18:31, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
- Hi. There was just a tragic school shooting, possibly 27 people killed. I can imagine that the page will be inundated by many people who will want to add information, much of which may be incorrect, or unreferenced. --Jsderwin (talk) 18:34, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
- Understood. The
{{edit semi-protected}}
tag is for users who are prevented from editing an article due to its semi-protection (i.e., anons and non-autoconfirmed registered users) to request that a user who can edit the article to do so. It is not for requesting protection of the article; you already did that with your post on WP:RFPP. - I realize it can be frustrating waiting for admins to come around to a protection request but that's all that we can do short of directly contacting a preferably uninvolved admin that you know is online. I'll try and keep an eye on the article for the next few hours. —KuyaBriBriTalk 18:46, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for that information. I never had to request an article be locked in the past, but now I know and will keep that in mind. I appreciate the explanation which is much easier to understand than most of the help documents offered by the site :) --Jsderwin (talk) 18:52, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
