OC revert
editI'm not sure what policy issue you were refering to in your edit summary, but you reverted to a version with incorrect (borderline nonsense) info [1]. Please be more careful in the future and check the content of your reverts. Thanks. --Milo H Minderbinder 14:34, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

Latest "Alleyn's School" Additions
editI'm glad I'm giving you ideas. I take it you are more experienced than myself with Wikipedia ;)
So by passing on my ideas, I'm glad there is someone who can make my words a "reality". Ho-Ho!
Merry Christmas - have a good one Umbuntu 15:54, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

Since it's already been handled, is it acceptable for me to remove my User-Report from WP:AIV? NipokNek 15:41, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- Well, he's currently not violating, and there's nothing more to be done if he stops now. NipokNek 15:48, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
Newbold Verdon
editCould you please provide me with reasons as to why you removed the truthful information regarding this village? This information was supplied in order for anyone researching for information regarding this village to obtain an honest and first person perspective as to the actual village's state. 80.47.20.110, 14th January 2007.
Newbold Verdon
editHello, I promise you that every word typed in the dialect, I have seen before my very eyes, I have seen people mainly children doing much worse things in that village, I would not want anyone to be mislead by the article before hand which made Newbold Verdon sound like a nice place to visit because it is not. I think if you clicked on the link to the parish website and read the minutes taken you would see that what I have been saying is indeed true. As for the siege it did bring everyone out to watch such a vile act of man, but it did happen, I am not making these things up and I would appreciate if you left the truth on the web page. Have you ever been to Newbold Verdon? If you lived there I would probably understand why you would try and defend the village. Now you do not seem to understand the damage that this village has caused many good working families, one of my family members was attacked for no other reason than walking down a road. Now if I was planning to move to a village and knew of this I would most definitely reconsider moving here. So I am just providing my knowledge to unaware people thinking of moving to the village. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 80.47.20.110 (talk) 17:57, 14 January 2007 (UTC).
Your VandalProof Application
editDear JoshHolloway,
Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that at this time you do not meet the minimum requirement of 250 edits to mainspace articles (see under main here). Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. Prodego talk 19:47, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
Welcome to VandalProof!
editThank you for your interest in VandalProof, JoshHolloway! You have now been added to the list of authorized users, so if you haven't already, simply download and install VandalProof from our main page. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or any other moderator, or you can post a message on the discussion page. frothT 19:49, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
Erm sorry for the confusion
editMe and prodego were both moderating at the same time. I'm usually about 10 edits lenient of the 250 but apparently prodego's not; anyway, you're approved now --frothT 19:51, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

Just curious...
editHey, your user page says you come from both the USA and El Salvador. Well, which one is it? Can't be both. Living in the USA isn't the same as coming from the USA >.<. Just curious, don't mean to nitpick. JoshHolloway 16:16, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
I could not find a template that read "this user lives in The USA"

Commons POTY identity confirmation
editI confirm I am the same user as User:84.43.73.154 on the commons - JoshHolloway 22:37, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
I never even visited the article. I do however have a rotating IP, so that may account for that, but I NEVER vandalize. 81.79.41.183 09:28, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
- Hi. Your IP is shared and the last warning was given on the 20th December 2006. It's therefore very likely that it was someone else that did this, not you. The edit in question is linked here, and it is certainly vandalism, though in hindsight I could have assumed good faith. If you claim it wasn't you then I believe you, so I suggest you just ignore the warning. I've looked at other edits you've done and you haven't vandalised so I'm happy with that. Happy wikiing :) JoshHolloway 10:34, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
tl;dr!
editHi. At this diff here if you look at your comments, all you say is, "tl;dr!". Pray tell, what the hell does that mean? Rfwoolf
- It means "too long; didn't read". Probably undue humour! Have a good day. JoshHolloway 09:35, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
User name
editFrom what I can tell, you aren't the same as Josh Holloway. In this case, you might want to consider whether your name is appropriate given the Wikipedia:Username policy. While Josh Holloway is perhaps not quite Britney Spears or George Bush, you might want to consider a rename especially if it isn't your real name. If you are unsure, you can ask for others to comment (the username policy tells you how). Cheers Nil Einne 18:16, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
Maybe you didn't see at the top of the page where its says "The following discussion is preserved as an archive of a request for adminship that did not succeed. Please do not modify it." At any rate, I've reverted your edit. John Reaves (talk) 20:23, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Ronald Leach
editA tag has been placed on Ronald Leach requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Steve CarlsonTalk 08:49, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
