Image copyright problem with File:Mydarkplaces.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Mydarkplaces.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}}
(to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 20:08, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

editThanks for your addition to this article. However, please be aware that we cannot use quotes sourced to interviews or articles published on a blog from blogspot. That site falls under the definition of a self-published website and is not permissable under WP:RS. Thanks. Wildhartlivie (talk) 23:12, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- The large part of the objection to the second set of references was that besides the page, as I could best ascertain, was called a blog is that what it said is not verifiable to non-French speaking readers. Since this is an English language site, sources should be verifiable to that population. Per WP:NONENG, the source should be available in English for verifiability. That you just changed out sources from a blog to the ones you added made me question it again. What would make the quotes and comments based on the content in the first source you added would be a copy of that interview in an English language reliable source. Wildhartlivie (talk) 14:00, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
- Whatever else you stuck in there, the cites were changed out to the French language site and were too extensive to sort out other cites you might have added in there. We have no evidence that the tape shown there is not copyrighted, making it a copyright violation, which we cannot use. The other issue to note is that not everyone has sound capability. WP:NONENG does not justify using the French language source because you previously managed to find an article in English, although the source itself wasn't reliable, it does indicate that it must exist somewhere reliable in English. So find it, so the content sourcing isn't challenged. Wildhartlivie (talk) 22:22, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Roger Ebert, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 21:04, 29 September 2011 (UTC)

editHi, thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Using WP:edit summaries is very helpful to other editors, so we can track and understand your changes. The 'tag and run' approach is not encouraged. Scattering an article with cn tags is often not that useful unless you are seriously challenging the information given. The tags can stay for many years. If you have an interest in the subject, it is often better to take a little time to research the material and provide the cite yourself. This will help support and improve the article there and then. Thank you Span (talk) 19:13, 2 November 2011 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Criterion logo.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Criterion logo.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:05, 29 November 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for March 14
editHi. When you recently edited Heaven's Gate (film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page European (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
