Mario Gotze
editHi Steve, I edited Marcio Gomez because he plays for the German Tigers football team.
- I moved this talk away from my userpage. Also I think you may be confused about whose page you had edited. You editted Mario Gotze not this Marcio Gomez person you are currently talking about.IrishStephen (talk) 04:12, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for November 30
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Giovanni Battista Guadagnini, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Italian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

editYour recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Hot Stop talk-contribs 16:35, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on United States v. Manning. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. You have now done 4 reverts in 24 hours. (And saying editors are living in fantasy land does not excuse your edit warring.) – S. Rich (talk) 16:37, 13 October 2013 (UTC) Please note that my message was posted 2 minutes after the other one. I did not know that Hot Stop had posted a message and I was not intending to "pile on" with duplicate messages. In any event, the issue is the same. Reverting the article as you have done is not acceptable Wikipedia editing behaviour. I am hopeful that you will stop. Thank you. – S. Rich (talk) 16:43, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
Hierarchy of Disagreement
editStephen, please take a look at Paul Graham (computer programmer)#Graham.27s hierarchy of disagreement. You started off in the blue with your initial Talk:United States v. Manning#Changing mentions of Bradley Manning to Chelsea Manning comment. Next you drifted into the green with "Chelsea is Chelsea." Then you fell into the orange with "fiction in your head" and "fantasy land". Thanks. – S. Rich (talk) 17:36, 13 October 2013 (UTC)

editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Judge Advocate General's Corps (United States), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Court of inquiry. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Almagest translation
editHi,
In November 2022, you have removed the mention I made of my French translation of the Almagest from that page, saying it is “[s]elf-published and non-notable.”
While I can’t do anything about the “self-published” part, I deem my translation to be “notable” because it is the first—to my knowledge—to feature some animated and some interactive diagrams.
Of course, I am open to discussing whether this constitutes “notability” in the Wikipedia sense of the term; if not, I’d like to know what could make my translation “notable.”
Be well,
CielProfond (talk) 20:01, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
