Hello, I'm Robvanvee. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Pardon Me, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Robvanvee 05:58, 2 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did at Fever (Bullet for My Valentine album), you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 17:25, 2 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia pages, such as those you made to Nice to Know You, even if you intend to fix them later. Your edits have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use your sandbox. Thank you. Robvanvee 07:01, 4 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Nice to Know You, you may be blocked from editing. Robvanvee 05:41, 6 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you change genres in pages without discussion or sources, as you did at The Final Episode (Let's Change the Channel). Robvanvee 05:32, 14 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

I’m sorry Ilovelife68 68 (talk) 22:25, 14 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your disruptive editing

edit

I've repeatedly asked you to source your edits and you have consistently ignored me. In fact, to date, you have neither made any effort to source your edits nor have you made any attempt at communicating these concerns, two things that are pivotal in building an encyclopedia. There will not be another warning. After this we are going to WP:ANI and it's extremely unlikely that an admin will be as patient with you as I have been. Robvanvee 10:45, 15 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. The thread can be found here. Robvanvee 05:45, 19 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing certain namespaces ((Article)) for disruptively changing genres without providing sources that support the changes..
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  GirthSummit (blether) 09:53, 19 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
From a review of your contributions, I see that you have been changing genres either without sourcing, or by adding sources that did not support the change you were making. I've only blocked you from editing articles; you can suggest changes on article talk pages, see ER for guidance on how to do this. If you want to edit articles, you will need to demonstrate that you are willing to collaborate with others, and agree to stop making unsourced changes. Is there any way I can edit again or do I wait? I’ve realized that I need to source things I’m making changes to. Ilovelife68 68 (talk) 04:44, 7 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Nah I start editing again. I’ve come to understand that I need to source my stuff before adding a genre or information. Ilovelife68 68 (talk) 03:20, 9 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

May* Ilovelife68 68 (talk) 03:20, 9 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

How would you source genre changes (a specific example from a recent change you made would be very helpful), and what sources (be as specific as possible) do you believe are appropriate to use? SQLQuery me! 17:08, 14 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

To source a genre change, I would try and find a reliable source to add to support my claim. For example, I asked if Psychedelic rock could be added to Stone Temple Pilots album Purple and gave a source that is commonly used for other sources of genres. I think the sources that are appropriate to use are the websites with information and reviews of album by other people. Ilovelife68 68 (talk) 17:58, 14 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

As the editor who laid the complaint at ANI that resulted in Ilovelife68 68's block, my feeling would be that if they are prepared to accept a temporary WP:TBAN, especially genre related that is, then perhaps they should be given another chance but it is pretty clear from their talk page edits since their block that they have every intention of having a go at genres specifically. That would not be a problem if they were well versed in Wikipedia genre issues, an already contentious area, but is clear from their pre-block edits and then from their post-block talk page requests that they have no idea what constitutes a reliable source regarding genres. That's of course not taking into account their unwillingness to communicate here until their editing privileges were taken away. Robvanvee 18:15, 14 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Ok Ilovelife68 68 (talk) 18:41, 14 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Girth Summit Would you be alright with an unblock with a genre TBAN? CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 20:23, 14 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
CaptainEek, sure - no concerns from me. GirthSummit (blether) 21:20, 14 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Unblock and topic ban

edit

Your ability to edit articles has been restored. However, you are now subject to an editing restriction. You are topic banned from editing anything related to music genres, from changing music genres, or discussing music genres. You may appeal this ban no sooner than six months from now. Breaking this topic ban will result in escalating sanctions. CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 21:34, 14 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

CaptainEek. Please see this edit, made in violation of the 6 month agreement Ilovelife68 68 was granted and agreed to. Robvanvee 05:45, 28 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Correct usage of {{certification Table Bottom}}

edit

Hi Ilovelife68 68. I noticed you are adding certification tables, like you did here. I ask that you pay more attention to the correct usage of {{certification Table Bottom}}, as I did here - the footnotes at the bottom of the table should match the table itself. If you need any help with that I'll be happy to assist. As always, your contribution is greatly appreciated. --Muhandes (talk) 11:08, 23 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I’ll make sure to remember 👍🏿 Ilovelife68 68 (talk) 11:22, 23 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi again. I'm afraid you missed a couple more, here you missed one, corrected here and here, correct here. I don't mind fixing one every couple of weeks, so don't worry too much about it, but please try. --Muhandes (talk) 13:11, 3 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

You pretty clearly violated your topic ban on making genre edits. Do it again and you'll find yourself blocked two weeks. CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 05:55, 28 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm CorbieVreccan. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Joey Belladonna, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Music zines are not WP:RS sources for Tribal citizenship or heritage. Belladonna's claims have been debunked. A metal music zine is not a reliable source for the claim, and the article, while it does cover some known Native musicians, also includes others who have falsely claimed Native heritage. It doesn't matter whether or not their claims/beliefs are sincere. If they are not substantiated by Tribal sources, they can't be listed as Indigenous people. - CorbieVreccan 20:35, 25 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of lynching victims in the United States, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Texas Rangers. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
