Lupu Bridge (Shanghai Metro)

edit

Hi I don't think the above article meets the criteria for inclusion as Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. See wp:crystal. Would you endorse deletion? --DFS454 (talk) 22:20, 4 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes please provide references. But after looking at your other articles I think you may have made a mistake on this one. Do you mean "proposed station" as you have written or "proposed name" as you have written in the other articles? --DFS454 (talk) 08:34, 5 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
The difference is "proposed station" does not assert notability as it means the station may or may not be built. "Proposed name of a station" asserts notability because the station will be built but the name hasn't been finalised. Hope this helps --DFS454 (talk) 08:39, 6 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

OK, I've seen your message, but I will (maybe) finish the renaming. It's so weird to me. BTW, there's also XXX (line) in NYC subway - they create different articles for stations of a same name but on different lines. --DS - fax 11:32, 4 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Well, I think it's really incorrect. Moreover, even if it is correct, it don't mean that it can't be changed into a better form. --DS - fax 11:43, 12 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Invitation to wikiFeed

edit

Hello Heights,

I'm part of a team that is researching ways to help Wikipedia editors find interesting content to contribute to Wikipedia. More specifically, we are investigating whether content from news sources can be used to enhance Wikipedia editing. We have created a tool, called wikiFeed, that allows you to specify Twitter and/or RSS feeds from news sources that are interesting to you. wikiFeed then helps you make connections between those feeds and Wikipedia articles. We believe that using this tool may be a lot of fun, and may help you come up with some ideas on how to contribute to Wikipedia in ways that interest you. Please participate! To do so, complete this survey and follow this link to our website. Once you're there, click the "create an account" link to get started.

For more information about wikiFeed, visit our project page. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask via my talk page, or by email at wikifeedcc@gmail.com. We appreciate your time and hope you enjoy playing with wikiFeed!

Shanghai roads

edit

I see you're becoming familiar with the inner workings of {{Jct}} with regards to China's roads. If you ever need to add anything to {{Infobox road}}'s Chinese subtemplates, there are convenient links to all of them on this page. –Fredddie 02:30, 30 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

There is also an IRC channel if you ever need an instant answer to a question or just want to chat. –Fredddie 02:35, 30 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
When we set up the infobox, it was primarily for US articles, so there was never a dab parameter added. Are the G1501 route signs the same for Shanghai, Shenyang, and Xiamen? If so, a quick and dirty workaround would be to use the same type and route parameters for the three routes, but use the name parameter to disambiguate. I'll keep looking into other ways to get things working for you. –Fredddie 02:30, 31 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
There is a subtype parameter, so we could do |subtype=Shanghai, but that may activate some things we don't need it to. I don't like the idea of using arbitrary letters to disambiguate even if it's the abbreviation of the highway. What makes sense to you may not make sense to someone else. –Fredddie 03:06, 31 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

About G1501 Shanghai Ring Expressway

edit

Hi. The word "suburb" was used in the original article before I edited. I just copied this word. You can watch history record. Shanghai has several "ring" roads, such as "inner" ring, if we just call it "ring expressway", will it confuse others? My English is not good, if possible, we could talk in Chinese. --Cccmm002 (talk) 16:34, 30 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Chinese know what "G1501" refers to, but foreigners may not. My purpose is to let others know it's the "most" outer expressway. The best method is to find the official translation. --Cccmm002 (talk) 23:41, 30 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Re. Infobox road for Chinese articles

Thanks for your message.Cause of my English not very good and your user page says you can speak Chinese, I want use Chinese. If you cannot read it well, reply me.

Tianyin LeeTalk to me 14:43, 26 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
I'm glad that you can change the shield width to 100px. For some ring expressway using one no., I also made some change in this template, maybe you have see this change. We can use the shield with on name instead like above, or we can use suffix to separate those way and create a documentation which list the different expressway cities for one expressway no., then put it in <noinclude></noinclude>. What do you think of this? Additional, I prefer the second way.

this is shield no name

China End expwy exit box

edit

There's going to be an issue here soon. {{LegendRJL}} has been deprecated, and once all of the transclusions are converted over to {{jctbtm}}, the template is supposed to be deleted. The two were merged together, and now by specifying |keys=<list of keys needed here>, the template will turn on just the needed color keys for the specific article. Imzadi 1979  05:41, 19 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

BTW, there is a full suite of core templates developed that will build standard exit lists. I took a look at G7211 Nanning–Youyiguan Expressway and there are some formatting styles that go against MOS:RJL that should be updated at some point in the templates. Update for Shanghai Highway Map

edit

Hi,

I have noticed that nearly all of the expressway and highway maps of Shanghai on Chinese Wikipedia are created by you. Apart from the 2016 update, some new elevated roads will or have been opened to the traffic by the end of 2017.

Roads that will have been opened by the end of 2017:

  • South Hongmei Road Elevated, from southwest corner of Middle Ring to Hongmei Rd. (S.) Tunnel.
  • Jiaming Elevated, from S6 to G2.
  • Middle Ring Pudong Section (All)
  • S3 Hufeng, from S20 to Zhoudeng Highway (About half between S20 and S32)

Roads under planned need to be added to the map:

  • Jungong Road Elevated, from northeast turning of Middle Ring to Yixian Road.

It will be a great help if the map are updated. Thanks.

Shanghainese romanisations

edit

Hi there, I just saw your message on my talk page (sorry, haven't been active for a while) and unfortunately I wasn't the one who put those original romanisations up on the Shanghai Metro pages. I understand the struggle about having no widespread standardised method. I find Wiktionary's Shanghainese romanisation to be quite accurate, but personally I found that it took a while to understand at first. I'd be really happy if some sort of consensus could be established on Wikipedia for a Shanghainese romanisation method. (Of course, in saying of all this it is quite difficult since there's not standardisation of any dialect in or around Wu-speaking areas...) --Opacitatic (talk) 12:19, 24 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
