Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:14, 19 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Eranrabl/SuperJew and sockpuppetry

edit

Just an FYI, SuperJew is not a sock of Eranrabl – they are separate people in real life. I'm also pretty sure that the IPs/new accounts who you keep reverting on article introductions are nothing to do with either of them (Eranrabl has no history of making such changes and rarely edited player articles – look at his contributions). There seems to be some kind of oddity with Israeli IP addresses that is making them appear to be related in sockpuppet investigations. Cheers, Number 57 16:10, 2 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

In a related matter, I have to ask why you are mentioning religion in the article Taleb Tawatha. How does this relate to his notability as a soccer player? I don't see religion mentioned in other soccer articles. Also seems strange that you accuse other editors of being "socks" and undo their edits in what was effectively a slow edit war, then add the exact same information. In another case, you remove "Arab-Israeli", which is then added back in the form "Israeli Arab" by Number 57 with the dubious edit comment that this is "standard for Israeli Arabs", a claim not supported by WP article Arab citizens of Israel. These so-called "socks" don't seem to have done any more than adding accurate (though unsourced) information. What is going on? Jack N. Stock (talk) 14:26, 3 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Jacknstock "I don't see religion mentioned in other soccer articles". Where did you look? Well as a straw poll I find it on Pelé, Lionel Messi and Mohamed Salah, I know nobody can check every article but there we have it on three well-known and well-written articles: if sources exist for a person's religion why shouldn't it be mentioned? I added the exact same information with a SOURCE, have you heard of WP:BLP? For example, it is against BLP to call Dylan Roof a murderer without a source, but it's primordial to call him one with a source. Even 3RR doesn't count when you're reverting edits against BLP. You put "sock" in marks although the one-off disposable accounts have been proven by checkuser to be from the same address. This user is obsessed with adding unsourced categories to BLP, and breaking the rules of MOS:OPENPARABIO by putting ethnicity in the lead. It's primordial to mention that these people are of Arab ethnicity if sources can be found, but it shouldn't be in the first sentence no more than somebody being an African-American, especially when their occupation is not cultural or political. Harambe Walks (talk) 18:29, 3 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

It's actually pretty standard to mention that someone is an Israeli Arab at the start of their biography (have a look at the people in Category:Arab politicians in Israel). This is not a Wikipedia thing, as such descriptions are widely used elsewhere, e.g. these BBC articles: [1][2][3][4] Cheers, Number 57 18:42, 3 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
Harambe Walks, you are referring to much longer articles, and those articles provide context. Also, I doubt you chose these articles randomly, and they don't constitute a "straw poll". I used quote marks because I was quoting your edit summary, and evidence had not been provided by checkuser at the time you made the edits (I'm not sure that checkuser provides proof, or if the accounts used the same IP address or merely the same block). If your point was merely to move Arab ethnicity to a later section and add a source, you could have done that rather than removing it with prejudicial edit summaries. Jack N. Stock (talk) 18:57, 3 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
I looked at the source provided, and it does not identify Tawatha as Muslim. The text says he was "raised as a Muslim" but nowhere does the text or interview call him Muslim. You seem to be making an assumption based on his family and his ethnicity. Jack N. Stock (talk) 19:16, 3 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

There'sNoTime User:Harmabe Walks is a blatant impostor account by User:Eranrabl to undo my edits and re-add unsourced categories to Israeli footballers that breach WP:BLP. By all accounts keep me blocked but if you really are a website that respects biographies of living people, undo his edits. Harambe Walks (talk) 09:34, 12 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

I bet you dollars to donuts this "Harmabe Walks" had a Bezeq IP from Israel like Eranrabl's other socks. Apart from the same obsession with adding BLP incompliant categories, he writes his new user name on his talk page. Harambe Walks (talk) 09:42, 12 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

User:Seraphim System you rightly undid one of this user's BLP-abuse category adds, can you undo the rest? User:Harmabe Walks is not me but User:Eranrabl, who lives for adding that same category to articles without sources. Why would I argue with myself, undo myself and even report "myself"? Harambe Walks (talk) 11:06, 12 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Harambe Walks: Any comments on your other   Confirmed socks? Somewhat odd you're focusing on one - TNT 💖 11:42, 12 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
Because I don't want to be unblocked. I just want to respect BLP. I have absolutely no connection to that impostor account and I doubt this website's credibility of it "confirmed" such a thing. Harambe Walks (talk) 11:46, 12 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
But those accounts listed at that SPI are your socks, correct? - TNT 💖 12:09, 12 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
Are they WP:DUCK in their behaviour and contributions? Restoring edits? Piling on votes in discussions? I don't even know why I'm bringing this up if an account on the other side of the world that UNDOES my edits is "confirmed" to you, and I've already said I don't want to be unblocked. Gonna do anything about the spree of BLP abuse "Harmabe" left on Wikipedia and will do so again with a new account in a few days again? Harambe Walks (talk) 12:14, 12 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
Stop wasting our time - TNT 💖 12:27, 12 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
Who's "our"? Do you see why I doubt your check if it "confirmed" an account that undoes me? Do you legitimately think it's contributions matches the behaviour of Harambe Walks and not of Eranrabl? Harambe Walks (talk) 13:50, 12 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
