Australian Survivor footnotes

edit

Hi, you removed the Efn footnotes I added on the Australian Survivor Network 10 season articles. The season numbering is supremely confusing because Network 10 discounts the first 2 seasons on Nine and Seven. Can I add them back? Also, maybe we could do a small text underneath the infobox saying Season 6 of Network 10 edition. MarkiPoli (talk) 11:51, 19 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Consensus on Australian Survivor talk page is to use production company season numbering on main and season artices, not the Network 10 season numbering. If you would like to change this, you could start a discussion on talk page to gain consensus for this addition or change, but it in general feels unnecessary and more confusing to be adding Network 10 season numbering. WikiCup 2024 November newsletter

edit

The 2024 WikiCup has come to an end, with the final round being a very tight race. Our new champion is   AirshipJungleman29 (submissions), who scored 2,283 points mainly through 3 high-multiplier FAs and 3 GAs on military history topics. By a 1% margin, Airship beat out last year's champion,   BeanieFan11 (submissions), who scored second with 2,264 points, mainly from an impressive 58 GAs about athletes. In third place,   Generalissima (submissions) scored 1,528 points, primarily from two FAs on U.S. Librarians of Congress and 20 GAs about various historical topics. Our other finalists are:   Sammi Brie (submissions) with 879 points,   Hey man im josh (submissions) with 533 points,   BennyOnTheLoose (submissions) with 432 points,   Arconning (submissions) with 244 points, and   AryKun (submissions) with 15 points. Congratulations to our finalists and all who participated!

The final round was very productive, and contestants had 7 FAs, 9 FLs, 94 GAs, 73 FAC reviews, and 79 GAN reviews and peer reviews. Altogether, Wikipedia has benefited greatly from the activities of WikiCup competitors all through the contest. Well done everyone!

All those who reached the final will receive awards and the following special awards will be made, based on high performance in particular areas of content creation. So that the finalists do not have an undue advantage, these prizes are awarded to the competitor who scored the highest in any particular field in a single round, or in the event of a tie, to the overall leader in this field.

Next year's competition will begin on 1 January. You are invited to sign up to participate; the WikiCup is open to all Wikipedians, both novices and experienced editors, and we hope to see you all in the 2025 competition. Until then, it only remains to once again congratulate our worthy winners, and thank all participants for their involvement!

Wicked poster

edit

Hi. Please do not use the teaser poster and label it as the "theatrical release poster" on the article for Wicked (2024 film) . You can tell it is the teaser poster because of the "This films I not yet rated" description. The theatrical poster is newer, has the rating certification, and was the poster used to display the full billing block. WickedFanAccount (talk) 06:39, 10 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

The current poster isn't the teaser poster. This was a teaser poster. Happily888 (talk) 06:47, 10 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
As was the current one. Theatrical posters have the billing block. I can't find the digital version with a billing block, but I provided proof of the theater poster with billing block being the one I linked to in the discussion. WickedFanAccount (talk) 06:49, 10 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

edit

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:40, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

November 2024

edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Wicked (2024 film). This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Liz Read! Talk! 04:06, 21 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Happily888,
While you haven't broken 3RR on this article lately, you still are reverting a lot of contributions from other editors in a rather knee-jerk fashion. Please remember that there are very few exceptions to the edit-warring prohibition, none of which seem to apply here. Please consider talking, on an editor's user talk page or on the article talk page, rather than making a lot of edit reverts in this article.
I decided to post this notice today as this article is going to be seeing a lot of activity over the next few days and so there might be temptation to revert a lot of new editors but please think twice about doing that so you don't cross that 3RR bright red line. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 04:11, 21 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia. You have been given a Level 3 warning this month. ภץאคгöร 13:41, 29 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi Happily888. Thank you for your work on Norwegian Chef. Another editor, Hey man im josh, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Not since this makes sense as a redirect since he's Swedish, not Norwegian.

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:2025 television awards

edit

A tag has been placed on Category:2025 television awards indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. plicit 13:10, 8 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
