February 2016
editThank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as (341843) 2008 EV5. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 22:11, 21 February 2016 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for March 1
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Near-Earth object, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lunar distance. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

editLittle grammatical error
editHi Hadron137, as tops are not designed to spun, but to spin, I have corrected the grammatical error that you made here. To see which tense is universally used with "designed to", you can check the literature with Google Scholar ("designed to") and Google Books ("designed to"). In this case, specifically for spinning, see Google Scholar ("designed to spin") and Google Books ("designed to spin"). Cheers - DVdm (talk) 08:09, 12 September 2016 (UTC)
- @DVdm: Thanks for grammar policing my change in tense on the top article. I'm still confused though. I believe it should read either "designed to spin" or "designed to be spun". The current phrase reads "designed to be spin". Since this article has been resistant to any attempted changes I have made, would you mind removing
"to""be" if indeed I'm correct? Hadron137 (talk) 15:29, 12 September 2016 (UTC)- OOPS! I had overlooked the "be"-word. My bad. Corrected now. My sincere apologies, with a healthy blush of shame . - DVdm (talk) 15:34, 12 September 2016 (UTC)

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Disambiguation link notification for December 14
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Lime Point Light, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Fort Point Light (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:11, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
Rollback granted
editHi Hadron137. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have temporarily enabled rollback on your account until {{{expiry}}}. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Salvio Let's talk about it! 00:39, 27 September 2018 (UTC)
Youth Flame Statue
editThanks for your comment on my talk page re the Youth Flame Tineretului statue. Checked the List of tallest statues talk page but couldn't see your comments there. I can see from the article information that the statue mentions it is an abstraction of an angel. We could ask for comments on the talk page of the list of tallest statues about inclusion. Robynthehode (talk) 07:29, 19 October 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, the section Talk:List_of_tallest_statues#Abstract_art was my attempt to solicit feedback about including the statue. Hadron137 (talk) 15:41, 19 October 2018 (UTC)

editHello, I have completed a DYK review for an article which you made substantial contributions to. I noted some questions at Template:Did you know nominations/Sarlacc's Pit cave. If you are interested, please respond there. Thanks. Flibirigit (talk) 15:33, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
DYK for Wells Gray Park Cave discovery
editOn 2 May 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Wells Gray Park Cave discovery, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that a newly discovered cave has been temporarily named after a Star Wars character? You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Wells Gray Park Cave discovery), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

editGoogle Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!
editHello,
Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.
I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!
From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.
If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.
Thank you!

WP:OL != MOS:OL
editYou may already know this and it was an oversight, but in your last edit summary you said, "Trimmed links WP:OL". You meant "MOS:OL". Unfortunately, they're different. Regards, Dan Bloch (talk) 22:09, 23 October 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks. I may have made that mistake multiple times, since I often use autocomplete to fill in the comments. I'll be sure to double check next time. Hadron137 (talk) 22:37, 23 October 2023 (UTC)
- After sending this to you, it occurred to me that really this is silly. I did some searches and found that virtually everyone who uses WP:OL really mean to go to MOS:OL. I've changed the redirect. They now both go to the same place and can be used interchangeably. Cheers, Dan Bloch (talk) 20:23, 25 October 2023 (UTC)
