Little Huia

edit

The mi: article is just a generic stub - just says it is a locality in the Auckland region basically, adding that NZ geographic board defines locality as a habited place that doesn't have enough population to be called a town. I generated it from the downloadable lists from the NZ Geographic Board, via my bot FalcoBot. By the way - how do I sign up for the birds newsletter - do I just add my name to the project page? Field hockey

edit

I already fixed what you did in hockeybox. But in my view, that will very costing to the article space with that long name, i think "fhcard" will be more suitable with the switch inside. If you dunno how to create with switch, let me know, i can do it.

Another suggestion is about goal, i thinking making something that similar to soccer. But i have no idea because the ball is totally white. So, if you have any idea, please let me know again. Thanks! --Aleenf1 07:23, 13 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ahh, sorry, is discipline or disciplines? I caught up with grammar. For the others, i will let you know once i done. --Aleenf1 07:44, 13 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Is done! in {{fhcard}}. About goal, that are 3 types of goals, PS (Penalty Stroke), PC (Penalty Corner) and FG (Field Goal), and possibly OG (I not see that much), if you can create like football, it is more good. --Aleenf1 08:10, 13 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
I already speedy deleting all the 3 templates for you, is that OK? --Aleenf1 08:22, 13 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
I was thinking about that 3 words in image, if you think that is very hard, just ignoring my suggestion. --Aleenf1 08:33, 13 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
I not have time for that, and after view the report, i don't get who are substituted off, so it will very difficult. All now is just i wonder how to figure out the image of goal in field hockey. --Aleenf1 08:59, 13 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Give some comment about my goal templates (view entirely 2008 Men's Hockey Champions Trophy) I will rollback if it looks very negative. Thanks! --Aleenf1 06:43, 23 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Colors

edit

What colors did you think is suit to indicate the field hockey goal (my creation)? I'm do some modification but i totally feel dissatisfied about my work, grey is look messy. --Aleenf1 14:46, 23 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, i'm trying to improve the image first. And i'm working so hard in field hockey area, not just in Olympics area. More to come, and sometimes i need some idea from editor like you too, hopefully you can go on. --Aleenf1 11:23, 25 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Created, {{fhps|g}} or {{fhps|m}} use for penalty strokes shootout. And i am asking some help to create better fhgoal with word inside, just patient. :) --Aleenf1 06:34, 27 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Actually is not my own creation, i saw it and think it is very good. I already ask author to make that PC, PS, FG, hopefully he can do it. All you need is to edit more, fix, and give new idea for improvements. :) --Aleenf1 11:09, 27 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
I think you use color for word, it appear very dark. Tell me if you done. --Aleenf1 06:01, 29 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
I can see it, but how about other users? OK, i think field hockey is differ to football, which is very hard to get the best. Change the image in template and we can improve and improve again. Hopefully. --Aleenf1 07:17, 31 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

2010 Men's Hockey World Cup

edit

Hey! Can I ask you why you removed the match facts (umpires and discipline) from some of the matches? I added that information from the official website of this tournament (link on article's discussion page). I cannot understand what is the point with all this? I need an explanation. File permission problem with File:LBAM.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:LBAM.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 10:30, 22 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi! I'm serving as the wikipedian-in-residence at the Smithsonian Institution Archives until June! One of my goals as resident, is to work with Wikipedians and staff to improve content on Wikipedia about people who have collections held in the Archives - most of these are scientists who held roles within the Smithsonian and/or federal government. I thought you might like to participate since you are interested in the sciences! Sign up to participate here and dive into articles needing expansion and creation on our to-do list. Feel free to make a request for images or materials at the request page, and of course, if you share your successes at the outcomes page you will receive the SIA barnstar!
