Speedy deletion nomination of Template:Rassilon stories

edit

A tag has been placed on Template:Rassilon stories, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

there are only two applicable stories, rendering a navbox almost entirely useless

You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on [[Talk:Template:Rassilon stories|the article's talk page]] explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. U-Mos (talk) 17:41, 21 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Silence (Doctor Who)

edit

The article Silence (Doctor Who) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Completely unreferenced pile of speculation and original research without the vaguest hint of notability. I am really shocked to find a sci-fi-related article in this sort of state...

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ╟─TreasuryTagestoppel─╢ 15:15, 24 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:SecretRescue1.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mayur (talkEmail) 14:16, 20 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Template:Legion of Doom (Super Friends)

edit

A few things:

  • The template's scope is based on the group of villains from Super Friends.
  • Adding shows that are tangentially, at best, is not a good thing. Adding shows that need to be explained by pointing to Legion of Doom (Super Friends) is worse.
  • Adding redlinks is a no-no. Navigation boxes are for existing articles only.
  • As with most team navigation boxes, this is limited to the initial character. Adding every last character that may have been associated with something that might be the LoD bloats the template to unusable proportions.
  • Anything related to Smallville is OR or fan speculation. It has been removed repeatedly from the base article because of this.
  • Look at WP:BRD. Your bold change to the template has been reverted. Do not just reapply, in whole or in part, what you want to be there. Engaging in a discussion on the template's talk page to show there is consensus supported by guidelines for the change. If you continue to edit war or disrupt the template, two things can happen: 1) you could be blocked from editing or 2) the template could be locked.

Speedy deletion nomination of Template:DoctorWhoCompanions

edit

A tag has been placed on Template:DoctorWhoCompanions requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>).

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page's talk page, where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. -- AlexTW 10:46, 17 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:SecretRescue1.png

edit

Thank you for uploading File:SecretRescue1.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:05, 3 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
