Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to List of UFL football transfers summer 2013 may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s and 1 "{}"s likely mistaking one for another. The article Enoch Barwuah has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Fails WP:GNG and WP:NFOOTBALL
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. GiantSnowman 11:43, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

2012 Philippine Peace Cup
Hi FairyTailRocks. It seems you want to promote the article to GA and to make more people recognize it. I don't want to sound harsh but I think that has clouded your judgment a bit. It also seems like it's an attempt to glorify the achievement by the Philippines. It's a decent achievement but on a grander scale, it really isn't that big of a deal. You've then ended up removing legit referenced material while adding unreferenced material. I honestly think you should just give it a rest don't you think? Thank you very much. I'm not sure it meets either WP:GNG or WP:EVENT. Why not create a version in your sandbox and we can re-assess? GiantSnowman 12:37, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

- Hi, the article looks good but I'm afraid I don't think it's notable. It could merit its own section on the 2013 UFL Cup page maybe, but that's about it. However I'm just one person, feel free to be bold and move it to mainspace if you disagree. GiantSnowman 13:26, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
For the blue guards page, although it got created, I don't think it should have! The only reason it was created was to expand on that 33-0 defeat! Ridiculous! Why not just put everything on the tournament page itself?!? This club is just some random ass club made up of old timers who happened to be weekend warriors! It doesn't deserve it's own page especially just for the sake of expanding on that defeat they got! Banana Fingers (talk) 13:54, 3 December 2013 (UTC)

Dear FairyTailRocks: I see that you have decided to become an Afc reviewer! It's a little complicated, so please don't hesitate to ask for help at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Articles for creation/Reviewer help - we all do.
About the article above, which you declined for lack of nobility: you may have noticed some little blue numbers next to sentences in the article, but no references at the bottom. This happens a lot because the articles in Afc are by beginners and they have trouble with the citation format. The reflist template was missing. As part of the review process, it's part of our job to make sure that all text and references are visible before reviewing, so that the user will have a fair chance to be accepted. Please be sure to check the source code of any article that you review, to make sure that there isn't invisible stuff, by fixing it up yourself. (Occasionally an entire article is hidden on a seemingly blank page!)
As it turns out, the references weren't extensive or independent enough anyway, so your decline reason is fine.
One more thing: Submitted articles are supposed to be located at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Article name, but beginning users can't or don't know how to move their articles to the right namespace, so we do it for them. I've moved the one above.
Good luck with your reviewing. —Anne Delong (talk) 02:47, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
What's wrong with the draft's layout? --George Ho (talk) 03:20, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
- You haven't answered my question, have you? How can I improve the structure without having to read the MOS again? --George Ho (talk) 04:14, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
- His birthplace, birthdate, and such are irrelevant. Matters are showing readers the subject's accomplishments. To verify his birth, I must abide to WP:BLPPRIMARY first and find secondary sources. Alas, I'm uncertain of using his official website as a source. --George Ho (talk) 04:31, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
- Moreover, I made improvements. How can awards accomplish? He wasn't nominated or awarded one. Do they affect the subject's notability? --George Ho (talk) 04:33, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
- What about WP:Notability if the subject fails ANYBIO's #1 criterion? "Notability is not temporary"? George Ho (talk) 04:53, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
Reading the MOS, I don't see anything that majorly violates the MOS. George Ho (talk) 06:55, 1 December 2013 (UTC)

CUplex
Hi FairTailRocks,
Thank you for the review of the article submission I had made about the North Battleford CUplex. I work for the City of North Battleford and I have access to information that may not be published, how can I add that to wikipedia? I appreciate your time, taken to review my article, and would want to ensure I can get it published.
I will search to find more published articles about the CUplex and reference those where applicable.
One more thing, I know my City is eager to have the article published, I have informed them I am working on this on my spare time. How do I get the logo on here? I do not own it, (same for the City Logo) but I know they would like it available for view.
My many thanks for being so patience with someone so new, I just want to make knowlegde available.

Nonsense
This is a very limited criterion at CSD. It only applies to things like "jytctrtyrrtttr gfgdgfdertere456f" or "grape tenrec up fortitude by oscillation nevertheless hijacked sideways". If something is readable as English (or another language), it doesn't class as nonsense here. Something like "the green cat climbed the purple chimney to eat the crocodile" may not have any encyclopaedic value, but it is coherent (even though silly or unlikely...) and is not nonsense in the Wikipedia sense. A lot of people assume that something they know is incorrect counts as nonsense. That isn't the case. An coherent article about a 13 year old boy who runs a multi-national corporation based in Falling Down Creek, Mo, and who is engaged to be married to Lady Gaga's sister isn't nonsense. It may well be a hoax (and as I made it up totally, it is...). Be careful about things that aren't in English. Something like 'jytctrtyrrtttr' is not pronounceable and is obvious nonsense. Something like 'szerzatyn szczentar' could be Polish and needs checking (by doing a Google search). That one IS fake, by the way. OK? Peridon (talk) 16:20, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
- I referred above to hoaxes. These must have an element of vandalism in them - bringing in stuff that lowers the value of the encyclopaedia. A new drinking game invented by two students last Thursday isn't a hoax. Students do re-invent beer pong regularly. That sort of thing comes under A13 - made up. Hoaxes are made up, but are intended to deceive. An example would be a newly discovered type of bird with four legs as well as wings. Many are much more subtle, and take some time to find. Most are just plain silly. Anything containing "little is known about..." is likely to be a hoax - but check. Bobble-head doll syndrome looks unlikely - but a quick check showed that it is real. If not sure, leave it alone. If no-one else does anything in some time, ask someone like me, JohnCD, WereSpielChequers or Tokyogirl79 (admins) or MelanieN (who doesn't want to be an admin...). Or any other fairly long term editor. Peridon (talk) 16:42, 14 December 2013 (UTC)

I finished your suggestions at Talk:2013 Penn State Nittany Lions football team/GA1, and had more time than I thought I would today, and read Football in the Philippines. Welcome to the 2014 WikiCup!
Hello FairyTailRocks, and welcome to the 2014 WikiCup! Your submission page can be found here. The competition began on 1 January. There have been a few small changes from last year; the rules can be read in full at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Scoring, and the page also includes a summary of changes. One important rule to remember is that only content on which you have completed significant work, and nominated, in 2014 is eligible for points in the competition- the judges will be checking! As ever, this year's competition includes some younger editors. If you are a younger editor, you are certainly welcome, but we have written an advice page at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Advice for younger editors for you. Please do take a look. Any questions should be directed to one of the judges, or left on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup. Signups will close at the end of January, and the first round will end on 26 February; the 64 highest scorers at that time will make it to round 2. Good luck! The 2013 NCAA Division II National Football Championship game has been merged into the 2013 NCAA Division II National Football Championship Playoffs
Please review this AFC and hopefully approve the merged article: "2013 NCAA Division II National Football Championship Playoffs" http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/2013_NCAA_Division_II_National_Football_Championship_Playoffs
Also, a redirect from the article, "2013 NCAA Division II football season", to the newly merged article, "2013 NCAA Division II National Football Championship Playoffs", should be done, too.

We noticed though that when you edited Football in the Philippines, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Stuart Hall (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). WikiCup 2014 January newsletter
The 2014 WikiCup is off to a flying start, with, at time of writing, 138 participants. The is the largest number of participants we have seen since 2010. If you are yet to join the competition, don't worry- the judges have agreed to keep the signups open for a few more days. By a wide margin, our current leader is newcomer Godot13 (submissions), whose set of 14 featured pictures, the first FPs of the competition, was worth 490 points. Here are some more noteworthy scorers:
- 12george1 (submissions) and TropicalAnalystwx13 (submissions) were the first people to score, for the good article Tropical Storm Bret (1981) and its good article review respectively. 12george1 was also the first person to score in 2012 and 2013.
- Sven Manguard (submissions) scored the first ITN points for 2014 North American polar vortex.
- WonderBoy1998 (submissions) scored points for an early good topic, finishing off Wikipedia:Featured topics/She Wolf.
- TheAustinMan (submissions) scored the first bonus points of the competition, for his work on Typhoon Vera.
- Igordebraga (submissions) has scored the highest number of bonus points for a single article, for the high-importance Jurassic Park (film).
Featured articles, featured lists, featured topics and featured portals are yet to play a part in the competition. The judges have removed a number of submissions which were deemed ineligible. Typically, we aim to see work on a project, followed by a nomination, followed by promotion, this year. We apologise for any disappointment caused by our strict enforcement this year; we're aiming to keep the competition as fair as possible.
Wikipedians interested in friendly competition may be interested to take part in The Core Contest; unlike the WikiCup, The Core Contest is not about audited content, but, like the WikiCup, it is about article improvement; specifically, The Core Contest is about contribution to some of Wikipedia's most important article. Of course, any work done for The Core Contest, if it leads to a DYK, GA or FA, can earn WikiCup points.
If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to help keep down the review backlogs! Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. WikiCup 2014 February newsletter
And so ends the most competitive first round we have ever seen, with 38 points required to qualify for round 2. Last year, 19 points secured a place; before that, 11 (2012) or 8 (2011) were enough. This is both a blessing and a curse. While it shows the vigourous good health of the competition, it also means that we have already lost many worthy competitors. Our top three scorers were:
- Godot13 (submissions), a WikiCup newcomer whose high-quality scans of rare banknotes represent an unusual, interesting and valuable contribution to Wikipedia. Most of Godot's points this round have come from a large set of pictures used in Treasury Note (1890–91).
- Adam Cuerden (submissions), a WikiCup veteran and a finalist last year, Adam is also a featured picture specialist, focusing on the restoration of historical images. This month's promotions have included a carefully restored set of artist William Russell Flint's work.
- WikiRedactor (submissions), another WikiCup newcomer. WikiRedactor has claimed points for good article reviews and good articles relating to pop music, many of which were awarded bonus points. Articles include Sky Ferreira, Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus and "Wrecking Ball" (Miley Cyrus song).
Other competitors of note include:
- Hahc21 (submissions), who helped take Thirty Flights of Loving through good article candidates and featured article candidates, claiming the first first featured article of the competition.
- Prism (submissions), who claimed the first featured list of the competition with Natalia Kills discography.
- Cwmhiraeth (submissions), who takes the title of the contributor awarded the highest bonus point multiplier (resulting in the highest scoring article) of the competition so far. Her high-importance salamander, now a good article, scored 108 points.
After such a competitive first round, expect the second round to also be fiercely fought. Remember that any content promoted after the end of round 1 but before the start of round 2 can be claimed in round 2, but please do not update your submission page until March (UTC). Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points equally.
Good luck! DYK for Football in the Philippines
On 6 March 2014, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Football in the Philippines, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the first football match in the Philippines was held in 1907? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Football in the Philippines. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000.
