Duan Zhixing (Jin Yong character) moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Duan Zhixing (Jin Yong character), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. IP Block Exemption

edit

I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.

Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.

Appropriate usage and compliance with the policy may be checked (through the use of CheckUser) periodically, due to the nature of block exemption, and block exemption will be removed when no longer needed (for example, when the block it is related to expires).

I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption.

Speedy deletion nomination of Runan Commandery

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Runan Commandery requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. --Nahal(T) 09:16, 18 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Photo requests in Beijing?

edit

Hi! Do you sometimes take photos for the Wikimedia Commons? If so, may I suggest some ideas for Beijing photos?

Thanks, WhisperToMe (talk) 07:56, 8 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

@WhisperToMe: Yes, of course! I will probably need a bit longer time than usual, though -- I will be elsewhere for most of the rest of the year. Which photos do you need? Esiymbro (talk) 08:41, 8 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
I'll list the following, mainly in Chaoyang and Shunyi districts:
Many are to develop articles about Beijing's international community, while one is for Xidan (to show the neighborhood school). With school photos I often prefer getting shots of the overall building(s) and/or entrance gates with a sign or lettering with the school's name and/or showing unique architecture of the school. However if a school has security features, avoid photographing them. I also prefer to take such photos on weekends or at times when people won't be milling around as the point is to get the buildings/signage, not people.
WhisperToMe (talk) 12:22, 8 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
OK, I'll let you know once I've taken the photos. Esiymbro (talk) 13:40, 8 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Awesome! Feel free to take your time! I added one more, but after that it might be good to wait a while until you do whichever ones you can/feel comfortable doing. :) WhisperToMe (talk) 16:41, 8 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
