Your recent editing history at Kareem Abdul-Jabbar shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Let's reduce the environmental impact of the Wikimedia movement!

edit

Hi Eruditescholar, please allow me to get in touch with you because you have stated sympathy with environmental causes on your user page. I would like to invite you to check out the Environmental impact project page on Meta, where I am trying to create some momentum to reduce the environmental impact of the Wikimedia movement. My first goal is to have all the Wikimedia servers run on renewable energy. Maybe you could show your support for this project as well by adding your signature? Thank you, --Gnom (talk) 19:38, 15 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Template:WikiProject Nigeria/Lagos

edit

A tag has been placed on Template:WikiProject Nigeria/Lagos requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>).

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page's talk page, where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hello! I was wondering what the purpose of the {{WikiProject Nigeria/Lagos}} template is? It seems to be an exact copy of {{WikiProject Nigeria}}, but isn't used anywhere. Kaldari (talk) 06:28, 22 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Given you were explicitly warned here about the behavior you yet again returned to, you are now facing a block to stop this repeated disruption. I am willing to forgo blocking you if you agree to an indefinite topic ban (appealable in six months) from adding ethnicity or ethnicity categories to BLP's. --NeilN talk to me 03:14, 4 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

It seems TM is about to succeed in using Wikipedia's policies to suppress more information already revealed by some of my edits. I am only concerned about the subsequent article disruptions on his part that this topic ban might cause. You haven't given me any better option but to proceed with the topic ban, so you may go ahead with it. Eruditescholar (talk) 17:04, 5 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
Per your agreement, you are indefinitely topic banned from adding ethnicity or ethnicity categories to BLP's. This topic ban may be appealed in six months at the administrators' noticeboard. --NeilN talk to me 17:29, 5 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

A Question

edit

I want to ask you about the article "List of countries by the number of billionaires", Ziyd al manaseer is a Jordanian billionaire with Russian citizenship. Should I count him as Russian billionaire or as Jordanian billionaire?? Thanks--Shorouq★The★Super★ninja2 (talk) 14:20, 25 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Shorouq★The★Super★ninja2. I've not done a profile search of this billionaire in question because I am currently offline. You might want to google him yourself and find reliable sources that state his country of origin. You should also consider the country of the primary source of his wealth. In my opinion these two criteria should be the most important in categorizing his nationality as a billionaire. If his Russian citizenship was acquired and not automatic, then you might also consider if he got the status before he became a billionaire or afterwards.
