Speedy deletion nomination of Git-hacks

edit

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Git-hacks, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising,  . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. AndrewWTaylor (talk) 22:09, 15 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Good start at a new article, but you have to show that the website is notable (important) enough to be included in Wikipedia. See Wikipedia:Notability (web) for more information. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 03:20, 16 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Missing license at File:Social Web Share Buttons.png

edit

Please add a license for the image. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags. There is also a File:Introduction to free licenses 2010-11-27 (web).pdf brochure tutorial, and a picture one (File:Licensing tutorial en.svg). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 23:40, 7 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Re: [1]. Can you tell me which part of the website releases the work to the public domain? You should add a link to this release in the image itself. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 18:08, 8 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:Social Web Share Buttons.png

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Social Web Share Buttons.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Marcus Qwertyus 04:01, 7 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Social Web Share Buttons.png

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Social Web Share Buttons.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the file is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
