Category:British political parties

You've just added some of these to various parties, but I wonder why 'British' was used rather than 'UK' as strictly 'British' shouldn't include those only organising in Scotland or N.Ireland. --VampWillow 23:39, 31 May 2004 (UTC)

Manston Airport

Welcome to WikiProject Airports

Welcome. As you have probably already noticed, all the airports are categorized under Airports of *, * being the country name. Currently the US, UK and Canada are subcategorized due to numbers of airports. There are about 409 airports in WP right now, with about 130 being US. I am going to create a WP:WP Airport to do box, so that we can track things that needs to be done. So these are the things that I would like to have done.

1. Solve our naming issue. Choose a naming scheme, announce it the to world, get some feedback and then implement it.
2. One airport for every country in the world.
3. Refine the categorization scheme

Our current mix is one Canadian (me), an Aussie and you, the Scot, meaning we have a good spread. The day will come very soon when I cannot watch every airport and category, like I currently do.

Just an update on what is being done.

Income tax plots

When I finished putting up the article on Kevin Williamson (creator of Dawson's Creek, writer of Scream) I noticed it linked to your list of books as the co-author of "Drugs and the Party Line." The Door is misplaced

Hi! Haven't run into you as yet. I noticed you seem to be involved with the Category:Magazines area and when I placed The Door in this category today, the system somehow glitched it in the "S" spot.  ??? Anyway, I wonder if you are able to fix this situation. Maybe put it under "T" - or - put it in the "Satirical magazines" category, which would be more precise, actually. Many thanks in advance! "Transportation" in the United Kingdom

I agree with you wholeheartedly about the misnaming of this category (which has nothing at all to do with convicts!). Can categories be renamed in the same way as ordinary articles? -- Picapica 13:05, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Article Licensing

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "{{DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual}}" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The thing I want to know is this: is Wikipedia an encyclopedia, or is it a propaganda machine for Islamic extremists? I don't consider the removal of biased material as vandalism. If you refuse to produce objective reports on such sensitive topics, then your project is doomed in the free world. We are not idiots. We know that torture is a fact of life everywhere, but for every incident involving U.S. citizens, it happens ten thousand times in other nations, esp. within totalitarian Islamic regimes.

Banning me from editing would be a big mistake. I am a VC++ programmer, and I have authored various internet tools that will make your on-line existence a living hell. I would unleash an automated army of slave-bots that would incessantly search through every Wiki site on the 'net, deleting or defacing every article in place thousands of times every hour. I will shut you DOWN like a clown. Don't mess with me, just be fair and objective.
