You may want to edit your entry to Keep or Delete. As it stands now, technically, your edit is an agreement with the delete. There is only one yes to delete. Argolin (talk) 03:04, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

Good call. That was one of the first articles I wrote, almost 5 years ago, & I'd pretty much forgotten about it. Clearly I had no idea about how to write good WP articles at the time. I should dust that old thing off & give it a thorough rewrite to get it up to par. --IllaZilla (talk) 03:37, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: Ukrainian Artists Society of Australia
Hello Duffbeerforme. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Ukrainian Artists Society of Australia, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Article has been to AfD, where author indicated their desire to keep the article after blanking it. Thank you. -- Lear's Fool 02:23, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
- Hi. about your opinin. Clearand several refrences found on teh internet that imply that Abaza is an active writer and authority consulte dby radio and Tv in his home countrt=y. remember that journalistic articles are often not place don the net and he surely has more if NZ state TV chose him as 'sociologist and translator' for a major world news. You say it is not enough significant coverage need to demonstrate exactly how this is measured and why major TV, newspapers and radio in NZ is not good enough? How many article sand interviews does a person need for notability. You do not at all show why your 'judgement' about this being not enough o significant coverage should hold. You just tell us its too few. without answering why it doe snot (which i think it clearly does) indicate that this is an active personality with local coverage? There is no quote such as 'at least this no. of article smust be found on the internet' or at least more than this number of interviews in major tv or radio stations' he has enough of each of these things at least and that is what we can find on the net. it indicates he has coverage and confirms info in the article.
Please have a think and see if u can reconsider.--kellyrussell34 (talk) 01:03, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
- Being an active writer does not make one notable. Being an authority is the way you interpret it as, I just see that he is a New Zealand based Egyption (as appears under his name on the TV piece) that the NZ press could talk to. There has not been significant coverage ABOUT him, just two trivia this is basicly who he is intros. Him writing stuff is not about him and is not independent of him, no matter where it is hosted. duffbeerforme (talk) 07:31, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
Circle The Sky (Band) CSD
I'm just stopping by to let you know that I removed your speedy deletion tag from Circle The Sky (Band). In my opinion the article meets the reduced standard of notability under A7, in that there are claims in the article that tend to support notability. Even if referenced those claims may not be enough to survive AFD (which was already underway when you tagged), but it should be enough to overcome a speedy delete. Monty845 18:45, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
And One
May I question why you are particularly interested in deleting the And One pages? I know they lack some of the requirements, but bear in mind, that kind of information (charts, awards, reviews etc) isn't actually readily available for that band as they're not actually very well renowned. The information on each page is essentially all that is available. Maybe you could try and improve the articles yourself instead of just deleting them? LostSpies 10:47 PM, 9 April 2011
- You've just about answered your own question. The lack of available information. Wikipedia is not a place for original research, which these articles largly are. Remove that and you just have little more than a track listing. (see WP:NALBUMS). I did try to improve, the only one I succeded on was Bodypop, so I have not nominated that one (ironically the test case to see if I was on the right track or missing something). duffbeerforme (talk) 11:32, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
yo
There's a page on Rebecca Black, who has one song, ever released ever. And yet you consider my band Unstable un-notable here on wikipedia, and had my article deleted. The girl might have a lot of hits, but we have multiple albums, revenue from our album sales, ect. Like I said back in February, the decision to remove Unstable was unfair and wrong. I think it further proves your biased opinions towards local unsigned artists, and discrimination of matierial that goes on wikipedia. I don't understand who gives people like you authority on here, because you're not elping the sight, your nit picking, and discriminating on it. Do you consider having one youtube song as passing rule #7?
- Duff isn't trying to offend you or target you, he's just following the guidelines of Wikipedia, I think he's often delete happy but there you have it. I had a look for some articles for your band to try and help you out with this, but I really can't find anything. You should have a look over at WP:notability and give a read through the types of things which justify notability, if you can find yourself some third party coverage for references (things like interviews, reviews etc. at major music websites or in street press or newspapers) that will help your case. If you can't find these things then unfortunately you probably can't be on Wikipedia right now, because encyclopaedic claims need to be verified and there's a set of notability criteria you need to meet. I've had articles I've created about independent bands deleted so I know it's frustrating, probably more so given it's your own band, but if you really want an article on wikipedia then go and get yourself some third party coverage, some radio play or chart success and then come back. The fact is Rebecca Black is a household name, has received huge amounts of media coverage and her one song has charted in nearly 20 countries, that constitutes notability, facebook/myspace pages do not do so. Hope this helps! Stevezimmy (talk) 07:25, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
Ammar Aziz
This guy has been controversial due to a part of an international film Taqwacore - the birth of Punk Islam. The references given there are acurate and prove the validity of the content. Why would you want to delete that page? You could google his name to find out artilces and stuff about him. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 111.68.102.73 (talk) 07:26, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
bias b
"His name comes a frequency on a cassette tape." this sentence doesn't make sense. are you saying it was printed in the Cairns newspaper like this, if so, it's prob not a reliable source in any case if it hasn't been edited/copyedited prior to printing? - should it be "his name comes up frequently on cassette tapes"? Bias B does have a lot of songs released on cassette - it sounds like this is what the author was trying to say - I'll find some sources for this & more info as this article seems a little sparse. it was late when I changed this one & I was trying to think why it'd be written that way on WP so I just wrote a quick summary. you can check my history - other edits are ok. Kathodonnell (talk) 17:40, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you for explaining why, I withdraw my complaint. Just to clarify what I meant to say in the article, the sources say "The name "Bias" didn't come from prejudicial attitudes, it came from the frequency on a cassette tape. Bias is the inaudible, high-frequency tone mixed with the input signal that passes through the recording head to excite tape particles, preparing it to record effectively." duffbeerforme (talk) 01:01, 14 May 2011 (UTC)
- thanks. ok I see what the sentence is saying now, perhaps it needs a "his name Bias B comes from the bias effect seen on cassette tapes" or even post the full quote, as it explains it well and ties him in to early music (cassettes being popular when he started, CDs had just started being popular late 80s but not many people had cd recording ability (at home) until early 90s). NWA Asutralian Heavyweight Championship
{{Hi I beleive it was you who deleted my page on the NWA Asutralian Heavyweight Championship. If you need data, look up NWA Pro.com, NWA Pro at Facebook, EPW Perth, I had the correct names dates and all, I even had a sort of praise from the wrestlers and staff. Please, put the page back up if you can, or do i need to start all over again -_- —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.105.209.98 (talk) 09:50, 17 May 2011 (UTC) }}
- Nope, not me. This page was deleted by Lankiveil as a result of the AFD discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/NWA Australian Heavyweight Championship. Before you consider approaching Lankiveil with your questions you should read what makes something notable (and thus worthy of inclusion in this encyclopedia) and what is considered a reliable source for verification. Also have a look at Wikipedia's guide on conflict of interest. duffbeerforme (talk) 13:52, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
August Rigo
I see that the page is marked with speedy deletion. August is a credited composer, songwriter, vocal producer, executive producer and all that information is available on the booklets of the albums (some of which went multi-platinum) that he has written on. Please tell me how I can help avoid deletion of his page. I have cited as much as I could online but the information I have put up is FACTUAL and verifiable. I'm not sure what else to do. Would also like to add a discography on his page. Thank you, Azar —Preceding unsigned comment added by AzarBogan (talk • contribs) 23:07, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
- I see no request for speedy deletion. Page looks safe for now. To keep it that way it is best to find articles in reliable sources that have in depth coverage og Rigo. duffbeerforme (talk) 09:27, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, a page cannot be prodded for a second time, see WP:PROD, WP:AFD is now the avenue to pursue deletion. TerriersFan (talk) 13:35, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: Géa
Hello Duffbeerforme. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Géa, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: this has got plenty of problems, not least the appalling sockpuppet/SPA infestation at the AfD, but (a) it is not wholly promotional , (b) we should not give its passionate defender(s) an excuse to say they are being censored, and (c) I am sure a speedy deletion would be taken to DRV. Let the AfD take care of it. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 15:33, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
Stonefield (band)
Please keep the hometown of the band off the page at this time. As 2 of them are still legally minors I think it inappropriate for that information to be listed here, regardless of it being published in some news article. Rowie235 (talk) 23:41, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Redirects
Before you redirect an album page back to the band, you must first obtain a consensus among editors. Doing blind redirects can be considered vandalism. The Undead Never Die (talk) 18:46, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
- That is quite simply not true. duffbeerforme (talk) 05:23, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
- Then you haven't looked into the wiki rules as far as some of us. Not trying to be rude, but I've seen many people get banned from this for merging pages without so much as posting a warning of such a merge on the articles talk page. The Undead Never Die (talk) 04:07, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
- I have, it's not true. I've seen such edits bought up as vandalism and the reporting editor was told it was clearly not vandalism. I've seen the bought to ANI and the reporting editor was told by mutiple admins that there was nothing wrong with the edits. I intend to continue to make such redirects. duffbeerforme (talk) 09:19, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

Edward Guglielmino
duff can you please improve this page or leave it. I am trying to add information and tidy it. Also the history doesn't show anything about the author being Ed other than some very early edits which may have been him removing defamatory info. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.174.108.131 (talk) 07:57, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Certified Information Systems Security Professional
Hello Duffbeerforme. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Certified Information Systems Security Professional, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not unambiguously promotional. Thank you. Salvio Let's talk about it! 11:36, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks, gone to prod instead. duffbeerforme (talk) 17:45, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
Regarding Penguin Villa, you voted keep and mentioned an offline ref. Could you please add that ref to the actual article so that the {{BLP unsourced}} tag can be removed. thanks, The-Pope (talk) 07:51, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
I have removed the {{prod}} tag from Offensive Security Certified Professional, which you proposed for deletion. I'm leaving this message here to notify you about it. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to the article. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! Salvio Let's talk about it! 13:24, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
Had to remove PROD
Hi, I had to remove the PROD you placed on Adam Gehrke since it has been deleted per WP:PROD before, and the act of recreating the article is a contest to the PROD. Feel free to take it to AFD if you think it should be deleted. Reaper Eternal (talk) 14:15, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

Dethcentrik
Just thought I would let you know that I agree that Dethcentrik is not eligible for WP:CSD#G4, because there were substantial changes made in order to meet the concerns set out in the last AfD (G4 only applies when the change is substantially the same as the previously deleted page). At this point, if you still think it does not meet WP:BAND, you'll need to start a new AfD. Qwyrxian (talk) 01:11, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

I am requesting that you reconsider the request to delete the Hak5 article. They consistently show up at hacking conferences and are very active in the hacking scene. kent holtorf for deletion
Hi duffbeerforme, I wrote the kent holtorf article that you nominated for deletion. Would be happy to revise with your help. I had the help of three other editors to revise the last time and they put it back live for me when they thought it was sufficient to wiki standards. Let me know what you want me to address and I'll get on it.
