I am contacting you as I also had a relative serve aboard HMS GOLIATH and sadly to lost his life on the 13th May 1915.
I am very interested with the picture you have shown on your site of the crew as I have been in touch with a Royal Naval historian and has doubts that the group of men are actually the Goliath crew, as the RN did not allow men to have mustaches on there own the men had to have a full beard or be clean shaven. The historian also thinks that this group of men are possibly a Italian crew having there photograph take whilst visiting the ship, as the name on there caps is much longer than if it spelt HMS GOLIATH.
I would be very grateful if you could forward me any further information as I am trying to track down a photograph of my Great Great Uncle William Barron wearing his uniform.
