Posting fiction and unverifiable information

edit
  • I have reviewed a sample of your editing, including deleted edits. I have not seen a single edit for which I could find any confirmation in any reliable source. I have seen some edits which I have been able to establish were certainly false, and I have found some which are similar to material on "fantasy" websites and similar sources.
  • There are many websites where you can play around and post fiction if you wish to, but Wikipedia is not one of them.
  • Wikipedia content should be supported by references to reliable sources. To some extent we may allow some leeway, but in view of your history, it makes sense to give you no leeway: from now on make sure that all edits you make are supported by references to reliable sources. To see how to do so, read the guides to citing sources and to reliable sources.
  • To avoid any possibility of doubt, Wikipedia policy is that any article content not supported by suitable references may be removed without notice, and must not be restored without providing a citation to a reliable source.
  • Editors who persist in making unconstructive edits may be blocked from editing by administrators. JBW (talk) 19:31, 13 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

One other point. No Wikipedia page is to be used for storing content for private purposes, unrelated to work for the encyclopaedia. That includes user pages and sandboxes. JBW (talk) 19:35, 13 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
