Welcome!

edit

Hello, Denise Bracchi, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Draft:Chromavis Fareva, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Chromavis Fareva

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Chromavis Fareva, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used only for advertising or promotion.
If you believe that there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: .  Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:05, 7 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I sincerely apologize for my actions that led to the block of my account. I now understand that the content I wrote was not neutral, as I initially believed, and I realize that it may have violated Wikipedia’s guidelines. My intention was never to advertise, but to raise awareness about a local company in my area that is not yet represented on Wikipedia. I acknowledge the feedback provided and assure you that I will follow all guidelines and contribute in a more neutral and constructive way moving forward. Thank you for your understanding

Decline reason:

As a reviewing admin I agree with the comments below by the blocking admin Raising awareness is the exact same thing as promoting something. Your draft was blatantly promotional. This is the reason that Wikipedia generally prefers that users not write about themselves or their employer or client. It is very difficult for users in such a position to write in the neutral tone expected of an encyclopedia.

However, there is a potential path forward. Fist of all, you would need to commit to openly declaring any conflict of interest you may have when writing about a subject. More to the point, your prior contributions strongly suggest you have some sort of personal involvement beyond just enjoying their products, and that you may be an en employee or otherwise financially involved in the organization, which absolutely requires you to make a Paid-contribution disclosure. It would also be best if you commit to not editing article content where you have a conflict directly, instead using edit requests on the talk page.

I know this sounds like a lot, but there are good reasons for all of it. This project as been deling with users like yourself who mistake this as something other than an encyclopedia, day in and day out for over twenty years. If you can write a new unblock request that specifically adresses these concenrs, there is a better possibility that you can be unblocked. Beeblebrox Beebletalks 21:43, 14 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I've fixed the code above so that your request works and should attract a reviewer. I've removed the duplicate request. Your text was completely unsourced, largely fact-free and highly promotional, and you did not declare your obvious conflict of interest. It's unlikely that you will be unblocked to write about your company, so if you want to make useful contributions to other topics, you should indicate what they are Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:08, 14 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for email. You can make a repeat request, but you must take on board what Beeblebrox and I have said. Apart from anything else, you simply don't have the experience or competence to write an article about your company that won't get you blocked again. I won't unblock you, please follow the procedure Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:39, 15 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
May I ask for your help in understanding how to create an article about my company? As you mentioned, I lack the experience and expertise to do so. Even if I were to be unblocked now, I realize that I could be blocked again in the future because of my lack of experience. So, how can we proceed? Thank you so much for your support. Denise Bracchi (talk) 13:45, 15 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
As I endeavored to explain when declining to unblock, the short answer is that this really is not a place to write about yourself, your workplace, your clients, etc.
If that is your only purpose here, you may find it is not going to be possible to accomplish. What you would need, in addition to the disclosures I have already mentioned, is multiple instances of significant coverage from independent, reliable sources. Wikipedia does not base its content on what article subjects write about themselves, it must be based on what reliable sources have already written about the subject. Again, this is an encyclopedia, not a social media platform. Unless your role with the company is to write ancyclopedia articles, you are probably in the wrong place altogether, but as explained above you can try, if you dislose your relationship to the subject and provide appropriate sources. Dear Beeblebrox, I apologize once again for the misunderstanding and for my earlier messages. This is my first experience writing an article for Wikipedia, and I now understand that I did not fully comply with the platform’s guidelines.
Our intention has always been to create the company page with the goal of contributing to the common good. We are already working on revising the text to make it encyclopedic. Since our parent company, Fareva, is already present on this platform, we aimed to create a dedicated page for Chromavis Fareva to provide continuity and complement the existing information.
I humbly ask if you could kindly unlock my profile to allow us to address the issues and correct our mistakes. I assure you that we will carefully follow Wikipedia’s guidelines this time, maintaining a neutral and objective tone and using reliable external sources beyond our own website.
Thank you for considering my request and for your patience in helping us learn and improve as contributors. Denise Bracchi (talk) 09:45, 16 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
