DYK for Crazy Rich Asians (film)

edit

On 17 February 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Crazy Rich Asians (film), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that director Jon M. Chu pushed back production on Crazy Rich Asians by four months so actress Constance Wu could star in it? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Crazy Rich Asians (film). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Crazy Rich Asians (film)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Name and Music Show Wins section, TXT vs other groups

edit

Hi! Since you have done some edits to TXT’s page recently I thought I would come to you about this, particularly because I am not a regular editor on wikipedia. Recently, TXT’s name section and music show win section were removed from their page, which you obviously know because you restored part of the name section. A while ago, someone had removed the name section but I restored it because I saw that many other Kpop groups had such a section. I listed that reasoning and no issue was brought up until now. Now it’s a similar issue with the section listing their music show wins. Other groups like Itzy, Izone, and Stray Kids, basically groups who have wins but no separate page for their awards, have their music show wins listed on their pages. I understand the reasoning that the user gave to remove this content from TXT’s page, but I thought then maybe this should be a discussion that regular editors for pages of these groups should have in order to come to a consensus of whether this information should be included in these pages or not. I just thought I’d suggest this and wanted to see what you thought. This would also prevent the need for that same user to come in and change the article again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.230.136.236 (talk) 00:40, 8 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

128.230.136.236, I really suggest you make an account since you do seem to want to help maintain pages and its much easier to communicate with you as I can ping you. Anyways, I more or less agree but the user who removed it was an admin and so I had plans to bring it up on the talk page. My assumption is that she was unaware of how important music show wins are in K-Pop (it's detailed largely in the book Girl Group Economics by Yoon Sung-won, they're used as a metric of industry and public notability) and so I had planned to bring it up in a discussion there. You seem to have a good idea already though, so I suggest you start it! It's okay if you're inexperienced. Also please remember to sign your messages on talk pages with four ~s! BTS discography missing an album

edit

Hi DanielleTH, a fan of BTS notified me that the BTS albums discography is missing Skool Luv Affair, and it appears to be so. I see you are working on that page recently, can you help.....I am a dunce at discographies. Thanks!--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 23:45, 9 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Bonnielou2013: Thank you for pointing that out, was an important thing to miss! It looks like someone removed a little bit ago, I'll re-add it. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 23:58, 9 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Album distribution: Iriver and Dreamus

edit

Hi, I saw that you were questioning why Iriver had changed to Dreamus on the Map of the Soul: Persona page. Someone must’ve changed it because when you go on Gaon’s website, under ‘production’ for the album it says Dreamus where it used to say Iriver. I’m not sure why or when that changed but you can see it here: http://gaonchart.co.kr/main/section/chart/album.gaon?nationGbn=T&serviceGbn=&termGbn=week Do you think this might be worth discussing with other editors?128.230.136.153 (talk) 17:28, 19 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Interesting. That may just be their Korean distributor? Do you know if Dreamus and iriver are at all connected? DanielleTH (Say hi!) 17:33, 19 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
Apparently they are connected, I just looked up the Dreamus website and it has a link to Iriver's site: http://www.dreamuscompany.com looks like Iriver is under Dreamus128.230.136.153 (talk) 18:52, 19 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
In other parts of the world it looks like iriver alone is doing it. I'll put a note on the page. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 19:07, 19 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Jungkooks artistry section

edit

Hi! Would it be possible for you to write an artistry section for Jungkook? He has a very broad music style and has been spoken of and complimented by many music critics and vocal coaches. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.107.190.37 (talk) 02:18, 20 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi! I'm in the process of writing one for Jin and Jungkook as they're currently lacking one. With the comeback my WIPs were put on hold as I need to keep Persona's article up to date. I invite you to make an account and try writing it yourself if you'd like! I'd be more than willing to help you out with it! DanielleTH (Say hi!) 03:10, 20 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
Oh that's great! I didn't realize Jin was missing one too... thank you, I'm glad you're writing it for the both of them. I would love to help but I won't be able to for now, I have exams coming up. If after a month the section still isn't up, I'd be glad to help! Thank you for all your hard work! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.107.203.119 (talk) 16:21, 20 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

RM as a singer

edit

I noticed that you removed “singer” from RM’s articleX asking when he has aung in a professional capacity. He has sung in at least two songs released under BTS name, “Spring Day” and “Reflection”, as well as at least one of his solo songs, “Seoul”. Not sure if they would be enough to call him a singer, but thought I’d let you know. Alexanderlee (talk) 13:07, 1 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Ah, you're right, Alexanderlee. I personally don't feel that really counts him as a singer since it's very small (and J-Hope had singer removed for the same reason), but I do understand the thought process. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 02:29, 2 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Nice work! Would you consider nominating it for DYK? If you do, I'll review it! Cheers, -Zanhe (talk) 03:40, 30 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Zanhe: Just did! Thank you very much for approving it to be put in the mainspace! I put a lot of work into it. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 03:45, 30 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
You sure did! I just restored the article for Nayeon of Twice, as she's notable for being voted #6 in Gallup polls two years in a row, but the article is pretty basic. Could you expand it when you get a chance? Only if you're interested, of course. -Zanhe (talk) 04:51, 30 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Zanhe: I know very little about Twice but I'm definitely open to learning and working on her page! I have a handful of other pages I'd like to make sure I finish before, but Twice are a super important K-Pop group and it's kinda odd more members don't have pages at this point. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 06:08, 30 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
That's because a handful of editors have been narrowly applying WP:SINGER to K-pop singers while ignoring the WP:ENTERTAINER guideline. I just restored Jeongyeon and Nayeon today. At a minimum, the members who are voted among the top 20 Korean idols by Gallup should easily pass WP:ENTERTAINER. -Zanhe (talk) 06:23, 30 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Also thanks for including one of my images in the article, I hope a better one will be available in the future though, the quality of that particular image leaves some to be desired haha. Anyways thanks again for the great work on the kpop related articles. I see you are being persuaded to write about Twice members above, but if you ever get bored there's still this page; Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/K-pop singers with plenty of people to start a page on. --Redalert2fan (talk) 19:39, 31 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

No problem at all, Redalert2fan. I wanted a recent picture of her actually performing on the page, and at the small size I don't think the quality is bad at all! Thank you very much for the list as well, I definitely plan to cut away at that. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 19:58, 31 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
I guess the small size is good enough, great to hear that you plan on working on reducing the lists size! Currently my project is to actually expand the list by making sure every (female) kpop singer has a Wikidata item (and all parameters/statements are correct) but I think I am sort of nearing completion... Finally... --Redalert2fan (talk) 20:13, 31 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for doing that, I'm sure it was a lot! DanielleTH (Say hi!)

I realized that pretty good articles were written for Momo Hirai and Sana Minatozaki but turned into redirects three years ago. I've now restored them and added additional sources. Also you might wish to check out two quite well-developed drafts: Draft:Park Ji-hyo and Draft:Mark Tuan. I can't find definitive proof of their notability in English sources, but suspect there may be extensive coverage in Korean sources. Cheers, -Zanhe (talk) 01:11, 13 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Zanhe: I'll take a look at both of those! I think I can find some stuff for Mark in particular and do my best for Jihyo as well. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 02:14, 13 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Zanhe: and DanielleTH Just a comment, still following along. I did have to decline the current draft submission for Draft:Park Ji-hyo due to very bad sourcing issues, while the content in it self is probably okay (maybe a bit too much trivia) sources are definitely the main point of attention needed. I did make a bit of a copy edit already and Wikignomed my way trough. It's not a decline because I don't think she is not notable, most if not all twice members are but we shouldn't get to eager in accepting/creating everything risking deletion or getting redirected again. Anyways I'll also try to help further improving the draft. Sorry DanielleTH for hijacking your talk page thread... yet again... --Redalert2fan (talk) 14:57, 13 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Redalert2fan: Don't apologize, I'm happy to have your input! I didn't write Jihyo's page and declining it based on the quality of the article is totally understandable!
@Redalert2fan: I totally agree with your action. I also declined Draft:Mark Tuan because of the previous AfDs, even though I think he is quite notable. Without definitive proof of notability and impeccable sourcing, premature creation invites time-wasting AfDs. -Zanhe (talk) 01:47, 14 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Discussion of TXT and music shows

edit

Hi, I was considering adding info about TXT's music show wins to The Dream Chapter's page, based off of what I understood of the music show discussion. Before I did anything I wanted to talk to more experienced editors and I was wondering if you could take a look at what I posted on the album's talk page? Sorry to bother you, I know it's not that important. 172.221.235.232 (talk) 08:14, 12 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Putting it on the song page should be fine! The discussion was about whether or not they should be mentioned in lists on artist pages, not on song pages. I suggest writing a page for Crown and putting it there rather than putting it on the EP's page. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 13:36, 12 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

On 10 July 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Rosé (singer), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. Hope you're okay & lede for BTS list of awards/noms

edit

Hey haven't seen you around wikipedia in a while so I hope you're okay. If you're taking a short break from editing that's cool, but I just wanted to check in with you about the rework for the lede and if you got around to doing it at all or starting it or anything. The current lede is mostly as it originally was, with one or two things removed as per some of your suggestions. I am attempting a minor (like really minor) tackle at it today because I really don't know where to begin. Hope we see you soon! -- Carlobunnie (talk) 17:58, 27 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Carlobunnie: Hey Carlobunnie! Despite my lateness thank you so much for the kind message. I had to break from Wikipedia editing this past fall for personal reasons, and I'm not sure how long my current stint will last, though for the time being I'm here now! I'll take another swing at the lede and hopefully we can finally nominate that page for FL status ASAP. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 18:15, 21 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!

edit

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!

List of awards and nominations received by Blackpink.

edit

Hi! The List of awards and nominations received by Blackpink item could become like that List of awards and nominations received by BTS, EXO or Stray Kids, to make it become a more compact page. :) Arianatoreblink (talk) 17:48, 26 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Arianatoreblink: Yes I've been planning on getting to that. Blackpink's awards list is going to be a lot longer than Stray Kids' so I won't be able to do it in one sitting and would probably need to make a sandbox or draft for it. I also need to look into their Listcle placements since I believe some are missing. I know for sure that their Korea Power Celebrity rankings need to be added. If you would like to help I can set up a WIP page. Help would be greatly appreciated. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 18:37, 26 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
I will try to do my best. When do we start?:) Arianatoreblink (talk) 18:41, 26 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Arianatoreblink: Here's a draft! Feel free to edit or to ask any questions if you have them. Just put {{in use}} at the top of the page if you're editing it, to prevent edit conflicts. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 00:03, 27 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
Why when I click on Draft:List of awards and nominations received by Blackpink does it take me to the main page? Arianatoreblink (talk) 01:20, 27 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Arianatoreblink: Not sure why (probably by mistake) but someone redirected it to the main article while it was still worked on. I put it in my sandbox since other editors won't touch that most likely. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 04:29, 27 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
In my opinion, an introductory paragraph should also be placed at the top of the page. Arianatoreblink (talk) 22:04, 28 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Arianatoreblink: Yup definitely! In fact I personally feel it's more of a requirement, especially if we want the list to be featured and thus meet the criteria. I was planning on taking a try writing it once I finish updating the table, but if you would like to do it while I'm doing that to save time, you're more than welcome to. I think List of awards and nominations received by BTS is a good sample of the lede structure: summarize their discography up to this point and the most notable awards for each album/single, then a final paragraph summarizing other notable awards. For the last one I'd put their first music show win and how they held the record for fastest for a time, their three former world records for Kill This Love, and their listicle placements. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 22:24, 28 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
In the night I will try to write something in the notes. Ah, I forgot. In my opinion, the introductory paragraph should also be placed on the official Blackpink page.:) Arianatoreblink (talk) 22:37, 28 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

In my opinion, the Sanook X Joox Thailand Music Award should also be added to the list, where Lisa was also named.Ghostintears (talk) 15:38, 28 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
I updated the list by putting the SSE Live Awards, that's fine I would say! :) Ghostintears (talk) 15:47, 7 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Help needed with finding Korean sources

edit

Hi Danielle, there's a current discussion on Talk:Cho Mi-yeon with people questioning her notability as an individual. I'm convinced that she's notable, but the quality of the article is quite dismal which does not help. Since you're the only Korean-speaking editor I know and did such a great job with Rosé, I wonder if you can find Korean sources to improve its quality. If you're too busy or not interested, it'll be totally fine too. -Zanhe (talk) 02:01, 21 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Zanhe: Hi Zanhe! To be clear, I'm not fluent in Korean, I'm just far enough along with study where I'm able to utilize Korean sources for Wikipedia. I'm fairly busy currently but will do my best to look through Naver and such to find some sources. I'm not as familiar with Miyeon/(G)-Idle as I am with Blackpink so it may take some more time. I can ask who can add or update information about his songs, which I added to Talk:V (singer) - 19 Discography - add info 20 Writing credits - contents 5.2- add info ?

about 19 Discography - add info specified by me Peak chart positions with links from billboard.com, forbes.com, gaonchart.co.kr. that's enough?

about 20 Writing credits - contents 5.2- add info - skipped song - "Introduction: Youth" BTS 2016 I understand that this is not a standard song, but it is officially registered in KOMCA Korea Music Copyright Association's database correct link: https://www.komca.or.kr/foreign2/eng/S01.jsp menu - KOMCA - Searching Works Writers & Publishers - number 10005240 (KIM TAE HYUNG)

In terms of charting, see WP:CHART for the ones that are allowed, and basically, cite directly from that chart if you wanna add a chart placement. Good morning. Is this source okay? https://blackpinkupdate.com/blackpink-won-tmea2019-tencent-music-awards-2019-for-best-korean-artist/ Ghostintears (talk) 13:46, 16 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Ghostintears: Sadly no, it's a fan updates site. I'd suggest looking for a Naver source. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 02:08, 17 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
here she is! https://m.blog.naver.com/prair/221731742492 Ghostintears (talk) 23:35, 17 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Ghostintears: Ah, sorry for not being clearer. The source should be from Naver Entertainment or Naver News, the blog is the same as citing a wordpress. I found a source that should work though: https://www.somagnews.com/blackpink-recognized-china-best-artist-2019/ DanielleTH (Say hi!) 00:15, 18 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I had a quick question. Would the images from here: https://m.post.naver.com/viewer/postView.nhn?volumeNo=12127271&memberNo=33784967 be okay to upload on wiki? If not, what makes it different from those fan-site websites that people upload images from? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nightinngale (talkcontribs) 02:20, 31 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Nightinngale: Hi, no, sadly that wouldn't work. Wikipedia iamges have to be under a Creative Commons license, and some fansites put a CC mark on their work to indicate you can use it. To use BTS as an example, this fansite for J-Hope puts a CC license on the bottom of the page (bottom right, it's the little man in a circle). On YouTube it's in the video description like this. If you find a video on YouTube, I'd be happy to help you with downloading the video so you can capture frames instead of screenshotting it for quality reasons. If you wan't something a little nicer, I know Marie Claire Korea, TV10, and Dispatch will upload videos that contain images from photoshots you can use. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 03:14, 31 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
That makes sense. I will definitely look out for videos on those specific channels from now on, thank you! Nightinngale (talk) 22:47, 3 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi, would pictures from here:(http://www.xportsnews.com/article/921516) be okay to upload on wiki because the copyright tag at the bottom says "unauthorized reproduction and redistribution prohibited"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nightinngale (talkcontribs) 19:23, 12 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Lead section

edit

DanielleTH: Hi. Can the lead section of Map of the Soul: 7 album page do with a re-write per WP:ALBUMSTYLE? I feel that the current version only highlights the commercial performance. Any thoughts? Thanks. --Ashleyyoursmile (talk) 18:37, 31 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Ashleyyoursmile: I fully agree that it focuses too much on the commercial performance. The lede doesn't have any information about the actual content of the album, nor does it mention the rather complex promotion/rollout for the album with Connect, BTS etc. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 19:14, 31 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
@DanielleTH: Thank you. I am not quite sure how to start with it though, and was wondering if you have anything in mind. Any input, help to improve would be appreciated. Thanks. --Ashleyyoursmile (talk) 06:09, 1 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Ashleyyoursmile: I would be more than happy to collaborate on it! I can give a version a shot in my sandbox and you can let me know what you think. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 21:26, 10 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
@DanielleTH: That would be great. Thank you. --Ashleyyoursmile (talk) 13:31, 12 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Notable Awards

edit

Hi I'm the lead editor of List of awards and nominations received by Britney Spears! I know you have nothing to do with this but I just wanna tell is that non-notable awards should not be listed on the awards page but how if add a note to the award title, it is possible counted as an already notable award or still not, I wondering too because I saw on the BTS's page which is a Featured List also do the same thing but someone user:Cornerstonepicker always reverted and it's really offensive me. Please consider this, I'm really tired of him/her messed up with my work I knew that's nothing wrong to help but at least in a good way, also this page current featured list candidate. Johhnyfrankie13 (talk) 00:26, 22 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

For an example this is how it looks;

Award or organizations Year[a] Category Work Result Ref.
Hollywood Beauty Awards[b] 2018 Fragrance of the year Fantasy Won [2]
@Johhnyfrankie13: If you're looking for my opinion, I have never seen a specific policy that dicates that a notable award is only ones with Wikipedia articles. When working on the BTS article, the group of editors (including myself) decided that if the award show met WP:GNG, or that the award ceremony got a lot of notable coverage, then it should be listed on the page. There's many awards, especially non-English awards, that exist and are notable but don't have a page. I can take a look at the discussion if you would like. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 03:09, 22 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Yeah! I would like too, I really don't understand why he messed up with me like this instead he can just tell about these things on the talk page (like he did before but he just informed and deleting without waiting for my response). As of March 2020, I've found for 469 awards won by Britney Spears but all of those have been discarded by him/her, so far only 193 awards won left; he/her said because some of those awards do not belong to Britney and yeah the reason it's still acceptable to me but when he removed all the awards that don't a have article on Wikipedia it's really offensive me because I felt like all of my hard work for about seven months was just useless (I've been contributing to Wikipedia since I was 14 y/o and now I'm 16 y/o), I've also give to him/her an example Featured List page like BTS and Kylie Mingoue but he doesn't care; while these two articles are identified as one of the best pages on Wikipedia. Dua Lipa

edit

Hi @DanielleTH:, I contact you because I am working in three languages for Dua Lipa articles and I need visual representation for specific events, surely you can will capture frames of YouTube. I saw that thanks to you the singer has a recent image. I can't do it myself because I don't have experience in Commons and I'm also currently blocked there. I need an image representation of the following events:

  • You can make screenshots of young Lipa, so that I can add those images in regards to the article in the biography section. Reference video: [1]

  • Lipa became a UNICEF supporter on a three-day visit to a camp for refugee children and youth in Beirut, Lebanon. Reference videos: [2] [3]

  • Lipa while accepting the Brit Award for British Female Solo Artist at the thirty-eighth Brit Awards ceremony, the singer-songwriter delivered a speech dedicating her award to "women who take over the world". Reference video: [4]

  • Lipa was part of the parade in support of the LGBT movement. Reference video: [5]

  • Lipa while accepting the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. For you understand why I ask you for this image, read here: [6]. Reference video: [7]

I would really appreciate if you could help me with this. Also if you could get a young Lipa photo or an image that could be good to add to her article in biography section. I would need your skill with digital photographic work and that you capture pictures of good height and width ... that are not a shot of little width like the photo of Dua Lipa 2020 that you uploaded. In short, I decided to ask you because I see that you like photography, you look good at it. Please, if you accept my request let me know, if you can't or don't have time you can also tell me. Thank you very much, I hope your answer. Alexismata7 (talk) 18:27, 31 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I would love to add those images, however, for an image to be added on Wikipedia or Wikimedia Commons it must be under a creative commons license. Unfortunately, none of those are. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 17:54, 3 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

@DanielleTH: I would like to know if there would be a page or place where I could extract legal images from it. Or some guide that you could give me to get images allowed in Commons. Thanks for your time. Alexismata7 (talk) 22:24, 3 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

I would suggest looking at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Licensing. It's a little confusing at first but you get the hang of it quickly. If you need me to clarify a license for you I'd be happy to! DanielleTH (Say hi!) 03:05, 4 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Kim Jong-hyun (singer), without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. CherryPie94 🍒🥧 (talk) 19:11, 19 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thank you, CherryPie94, but I'm by no means new to Wikipedia. My reasoning was in the edit history, monoymous names can and should be the page title when they're better known; see WP:MONONYM. Further, there is precedent among K-Pop articles to use mononyms: move 1, move 2/3, pages like Jennie (singer) and Jisoo (singer, born 1995), etc. If you had issue with the move you could have contested it through WP:RM to transition it into a discussion. About cspicker

What do you think we should do? He's been very adamant even though FLC reviewers were satisfied. I don't want to give in to him just because he's an admin, nor do I want to come across like I think he's attacking our article specifically (though I can think of another very similar article with way more non-wiki'ed awards on it that he hasn't so much as breathed in the direction of). I'm by no means partial and can take well intentioned, objective concrit but I can't help but feel a little troubled by all of this. I've been doing a lot of lookup in response to his qualms but my time is not what it used to be so the going is much slower. I found a bahasa wiki page for The Fact Awards but it's bare bones at best. Idk if to go ahead and link it to the article but still leave our footnote and just expand upon it a little, or what. I definitely don't have the time to sit and write an Eng wiki article for it though I would if I could. I didn't want to make any major changes to the page either without getting your input first. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 19:37, 21 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Him being an admin doesn't necessarily give additional authority over consensus, as far as I know. It seems he's the only one who takes issue with the footnote system in comparison to a very large number of other users and even another admin, but I don't think there' any harm in linking the bahasda page to please him and leaving the footnote for English readers. I found a decent amount of Korean-language pages as well and might have the time to write up some smaller articles for any award shows they're missing. We've already found enough information to prove they're notable award shows which means we can set up an article for them. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 21:32, 21 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
@DanielleTH: ok. I'll link the page, and if you do find the time I'll help if you need it. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 23:01, 21 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
