Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Wikipedia:Teahouse, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button   located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 17:35, 24 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Image without license

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Manjari Fadnis received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Promising Star 2016.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 04:45, 26 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:Manjari Fadnis received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Promising Star 2016.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Manjari Fadnis received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Promising Star 2016.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:07, 26 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. 2001:8B0:9F0:6034:1C58:95AA:82F:2FB9 (talk) 17:08, 26 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on File:Manjari Fadnis plants a tree at Zee 'My Earth My Duty' initiative in 2013.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. bonadea contributions talk 23:56, 26 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of interest editing

edit

Hello, Crispgatoglitz, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Manjari Fadnis, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms our use and policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:09, 27 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi Crispgatoglitz. I've added the above template because it looks as if pretty much every edit you've been making on Wikipedia has been either to Manjari Fadnis or about her in some way. Please clarify if you are connected to Fadnis in any way, either personally or professionally. Wikipedia does sometimes consider individuals connected with subjects of articles they edit to have a conflict of interest depending upon the nature of the connection; moreover, although Wikipedia doesn't expressly prohibit conflict-of-interest editing, it is something which is highly dscouraged. So, if you have a conflict-of-interest with respect to Fadnis, you are going to be expected to follow the guidelines laid out in Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. Please pay special attention to WP:FCOI. If you're being compensated in anyway to edit/create content about Fardnis on Wikipedia, you're going to have to disclose this per WP:PAID because undisclosed paid/compensated contributions are one thing that Wikipedia does expressly prohibit. Your account is what is referred to as a WP:SPA; this is not in and of itself necessarily a bad things, but it can give others the impressions that you have some kind of WP:APPARENTCOI. So, clarifying any such connection or lack of thereof will help avoid confusion and problems with other editors. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:22, 27 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Full names

edit

Hi, please note that in Wikipedia articles about people, the subject is referred to by their full name at the beginning of the article, and after that by surname only (with a few exceptions). More info here. Please stop restoring Manjari Fadnis' first name - she should be referred to as "Fadnis" in most places in the article. Thank you. --bonadea contributions talk 20:26, 27 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Cot (2017 hindi short film)

edit

The article Cot (2017 hindi short film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No significant coverage in reliable sources and no evidence of satisfying WP:NFILM.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Manjari Fadnis, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tamil (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

my defense

edit

Sir

Subject : In reference to my wikipedia account being blocked

My account has been blocked from further editing , that's not a problem ! But tagging me as a sock puppet of unknown Indian film industry promoter as suggested to you by MITian Mr. David notMD is not a good idea ! You saved me from the trouble of making any further edits as SPA as I would continue if not being stopped.

Your evidence :

1) He edits for Manjari Fadnis only directly or related to her work so a SPA 2)I got messages of multiple successfull or failed login attempts from a new device asking to strengthen or change password

My rationale : I had been earlier blocked by Google/Instagram/Twitter for being considered a BOT

1) I am top liker of her Instagram posts 2) I am top liker of her Twitter posts 3) I am the top contributer of her wikipedia page 4) I have given a like for her every film on Google Search 5) I haven't given a single like on her Hired team managed Facebook post after small reverses 6)I haven't liked or followed her official YouTube channel after initial huge reverses as my account got blocked 7) I haven't liked her abondoned Google plus after minute initial reverses 8) I haven't given a single like on her Twitter/Instagram hastags busy in promoting so called Indian film industry

Other facts :

1) I recently anonymously offered her a gift worth 3 USD from my pocket money , her net worth was around 3 million USD four or some more years back so I got paid real well 2)I wrote 100 comments in a single day for her Instagram posts but she didn't reply while replying to all her friends/family/fraternity so I deleted them all to promote her works you guess otherwise I would have been a top commenter 3)I wrote long poetries in her name and got no replies again so I deleted them 4) I posted her photo and asked Bollywood Hangama / Manjari Fadnis/Secretary BThiba/others to grant permission for their cc by 3.0 usage , no one turned up to grant permission a biggest proof of a paid promoter 5) I posted maximum questions on her direct questionnaire day in Instagram , not a single one got answered for a real good freind I am 6) I impersonated her friend to get in touch with her I failed 8)I sent her emails , her photos just to make fool of myself 9)I can see her , I can listen to her all the time I Don't know why? 10) I am the biggest stalker of her each and every content on the web for last few months ! 11) I plan to visit a resort that lies in front of her home though I am not used to it and see if I am lucky enough to have anything... On and on , I am tired of this writing.. Crispgatoglitz (talk) 15:57, 10 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
