Edit warring

Hi Cramerwiki! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Kenny Pickett several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Kenny Pickett, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Pickett

Pickett in not in shape or form competing with Hurts. Not one of those sources (which are blogs) say he was. Use common sense, a horrid QB bust was not competing with a dude who just signed a huge extension and led the team to a Super Bowl. Yankees10 19:32, 3 November 2024 (UTC)

He originally was yes, as those articles state. They are refutable sources, including sports illustrated. Wikipedia articles are not meant to be passion projects, every time and edit is reverted there needs to be concise reasoning not just pointing at your head and twirling your finger like the other editor is crazy. Request

Hello. When placing new information on articles, please expand your references to show the authors, source/access dates/article title/URL if possible. I recommend a tool like ProveIt or Citer. The reason being is that it makes existing reference lists look clunky and disorganized. Also, if possible, please do not rely on StatMuse so much as it is a paid service in regard to full capabilities. There are plenty of free primary news sources out there. Hello, I'm Hey man im josh. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Chuck Noll seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. It's very clear you're a Steelers fan in your writings, so work on toning it back. I hear you but I think you're also incorrectly attributing those edits to me. Everything I've added has sources, compare my recent edit to the previous one and you'll see that is not my work (I assume you're talking about the edits to Noll's page). As much as I understand your position, I am keeping with the standard set by other athletes’ pages. It’s not a slight against you, but there’s a clear standard when it comes to NFL players’ wiki pages and it’s usually one per season. Cramerwiki (talk) 20:34, 10 December 2024 (UTC)

It's nice that you've uploaded photos, but you need to stop edit warring to add photos you've uploaded to articles related to the Pittsburgh Steelers. @Cramerwiki: That is exactly how it works. See WP:BRD. You don't try to go back and forth repeatedly to get your way, in the hopes the other person just gives up. You're pushing images that you've uploaded, additions that were contested. You've added them to the article at least four times now, and you've done this elsewhere as well. Bluntly, you're making pages look absolutely ridiculous by forcing blurry images, pictures of the back of people's heads, and making articles look like magazines. These pages are far worse now to view on mobile than they were before being bombarded with unnecessary image additions that don't add anything of value. Leaving an article as just a wall of text is, quite frankly, an extreme eye sore. No one will read the article if there aren't visuals paired with it. If my images are so detrimental because I'm "forcing blurry images, pictures of the back of people's heads" then I welcome you to upload your own images. I have taken thousands of images of the Steelers over the course of 40 years, dozens of them that I have allowed to go into the public domain here, I take pride in my work and resent that statement. It's the opposite... I won't read pages with too many images that ruin the layout and are of poor quality. Please slow it down and be more reasonable with your image usage. If someone says your behaviour is disruptive, you shouldn't press forward without a care in the world. I'm not saying this stuff just to say it, I'm saying it because I genuinely think your obsession with adding way too many of your own images to articles is making the articles you care about worse. Continued overzealous image use

As mentioned when I removed the image at T. J. Watt, your overzealous image usage is forcing section headers to be bumped inwards, making the page look worse and clunky. Your image additions also did that for the 2019, 2021, and statistics headers. I understand you want to add the images you've taken to articles... and that you controversially think more images = better quality, but at this point, it's looking grotesque and messing with the page's format altogether. This is getting ridiculous. The standard set by other pages is one image per season if available. There is no reason to continuously revert edits, remove photos etc. because you find it " grotesque". You are the only person who takes issue with images on pages and I have never seen another editor be so aggressive in deviating from a standard set already. There is no issue with images on a page, let alone one per season. It is not overzealous, it's documentation of the person to serve as a visual guide through the article. It's not ridiculous to point out that your images are throwing off the entire formatting of the page and making it difficult to see, as easily as it should be, where new sections start and end. I find it troubling that you care more about adding the images you've taken than the readability of the page. Wikipedia is not a magazine we plaster with images that we like or have personally taken to the point that it becomes as difficult as it is to navigate the page. Can you seriously not understand how it's a problem that you have multiple sections which headers are bumped inwards by the overuse of images? I think you need to give Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Images a read and also consider how it would affect those on mobile to have to scroll past so many blurry and irrelevant images to get to the relevant material they're trying to peruse.

See Ben Roethlisberger's page, Tom Brady's page, Daniel Jones' page for examples of the precedent set. If you're having a difficult time reading a page because there is an image in the article then I truthfully don't know what to tell you. You are ignoring my direct citations of other articles I have given you multiple times now. I have read the wikipedia manual of style and no where in any of the articles I edited do I violate this. If you take issue with Wikipedia being a multimedia (images, text, videos, web links etc.) website, perhaps it's not the website for you. Cramerwiki (talk) 18:36, 23 December 2024 (UTC)

Once again, you are completely ignoring everything I am saying to you. I am not promoting my own photography, I have contributed some images, but hardly all of the ones added to articles. If you don't believe me, take a look at TJ Watt's page in which I am responsible for two images on it. The rest are from various other sources. If you're going to be outraged over this, I'd expect some level of research on your part. You clearly do not care about what others say either since every single page for an athlete is formatted the same way. I did not set the standard; I am following it.
