Hello, Catilton, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Adam and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard#Seeking five editors/admins to be interviewed about moderation of harmful content on Wikipedia, does that only cover disciplinary actions or also mere maintenance such as deletion of articles on topics which don't meet inclusion criteria? Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 17:36, 18 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Jo-Jo: We understand that the majority of editing on Wikipedia deals with adding or removing content to improve the quality of articles. This sometimes includes removing copyrighted material, spam, or various types of vandalism of article content. However, for the purposes of this interviews, we are specifically interested in understanding more about the removal of harmful content or conduct on articles and talk pages.
We define harmful content as content or conduct that might be construed as harmful to others, such as, but not limited to, personal attacks, defamation, threats, or highly offensive material. The focus of this inquiry is not on the actions of individual editors and administrators but rather to understand how the system operates overall.
With that said, we are interested in learning more about the process of and the decision-making behind deletion of articles that don't meet the inclusion criteria for various reasons. I hope that helps! Catilton (talk) 19:13, 18 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Well, I can certainly talk about discussion based deletion processes ... in non-face-to-face communication, that is. Wikipedia is a text medium. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 19:51, 18 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • I would be happy to be interviewed, particularly decision-making behind deletion of articles that don't meet the inclusion criteria for various reasons. This has been the focus of my work as an editor and admin for a decade. Preferred interview media: Telegram (voice). Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 19:32, 18 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
