editThanks for following the guidelines i added for notability in a stand alone list. not to knock your accomplishments (my imdb listing is way less impressive), but the refs you provided dont qualify as reliable, neutral sources. IMDB is not reliable, as info may be submitted by the subject with inadequate review, and the book on amazon is from their on demand service, which doesnt count, esp. as even a regular amazon listing doesnt show notability for a stand alone list. I dont think you qualify as "notable" by wp standards (just my opinion, of course, but i have created over 200 articles on perhaps marginal topics, with very few deletions). However, if you disagree, or have more refs available (a review in publishers weekly, a movie review from a weekly indie newspaper, an interview at the same, etc), please bring up at the temple u talk page, or just create an article on yourself, and discuss your notability there IF its brought up for deletion. having written all this, good luck with your book. I do know that some self published works catch on, and you are a writer of some skill. (PS i do plan to trim out many other nonnotable names, im not targeting you, honestly, im just editing bass-ackwards, like the Fosbury Flop.)Mercurywoodrose (talk) 01:17, 11 October 2013 (UTC)
- Did you try to send a copy of the book to Locus (magazine), i know the founding editor had a huge collection of books, and they are sort of the PW of spec fic. In that vein, sending a sample copy to sf bookstores, if they are agreeable, with absolutely no promotional material/blurbs, just a personable request to read the first page and a note about the books contents. The Other Change of Hobbit and Dark Carnival in berkeley might accept them. good luck again.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 02:20, 11 October 2013 (UTC)
