Request reason:

Caught by a colocation web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. My IP address is 73.243.17.60 . I live in two different houses, one in Colorado and one in Arizona. I am currently in Colorado.

Decline reason:

Per below, these blocks are sometimes moot within a day or two after the VPN is turned off and the DNSes correspondingly update themselves. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:27, 1 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I don't see a block on that IP address. What is the message that you get when you attempt to make an edit? Do you have a VPN in operation? 331dot (talk) 08:57, 30 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

I’m kind of confused now, because when I went to edit to see the message it allows me to edit now??? And yes, I do have a vpn, but I’ve had it turned off for a few days, including when I tried to edit the first time. Blepii (talk) 21:03, 30 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Ingush romanization

edit

Hi!

I've reverted your edit to V2 word order, because:

1) Most likely your first change was a good-faith assumption. I'd presume that the spelling is intentional. 2) I'm not clear what's going on with the glottal stop character ʔ as none of the three romanization systems for Ingush that I found use it.

Do you have any particular knowledge of the Ingush language that might bear on this issue?

Cheers, RadioactiveBoulevardier (talk) 01:28, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I speak a closely related language, Chechen Blepii (talk) 03:03, 31 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Chalart58

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Chalart58 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Introduction to contentious topics

edit

You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Please note that your edits to Shaldag Unit have been reverted, as you do not meet the minimum requirements to edit within the aforementioned topic space. As you are now aware of the existence of these restrictions, further violations will result in sanctions. SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 00:55, 3 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
