Codeshares

edit

Hey Benji, you've been adding codeshares to United's destinations on the John F. Kennedy International Airport article. Eg. United fl. 7611 to Beijing is actually Air China fl. 982. United fl. 7984 to Seoul is actually Asiana fl. 221. These are not United flights. They are not flown with United aircraft. They are codeshares with United's partners. Codeshares are not included in the destination lists. The only United colors leaving JFK are to LAX and SFO. (and United Express to IAD) Kind regards, --@Efrat (talk) 10:46, 11 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello Benji, I'd like to invite you to familiarize yourself with project standards at WP:AIRPORT-CONTENT. Codeshare destinations are not counted in airport and airline articles. HkCaGu (talk) 15:29, 11 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did at John F. Kennedy International Airport, you may be blocked from editing. Please, you have been told twice that we do not list codeshare routes in airport articles. Please stop.   Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Gatwick Airport. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Snoozlepet (talk) 04:40, 14 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to New Doha International Airport. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Snoozlepet (talk) 06:43, 16 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by inserting unpublished information or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at New York City, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of video games notable for negative reception, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page G4 (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Flags

edit

Hey, Benji - I noticed you've spent a good deal of time adding flag icons to various lists in articles. I like Wikipedia's flag icons but they are a bit subject to overuse - see this link - and in some cases can make an article less, rather than more, useful. For instance that long list of icons you added to the NY City article this morning makes that list quite a bit harder to read and scan, and the icons don't add really any information at all other than to say, "in case you were interested here is what the flag of Thailand looks like" - or worse, "here's the flag of Canada repeated 7 times in several lines". I've undone your most recent, and largest, additions of icons to that page for those reasons and because the undertaking did reflect a bit of work on your part, figured I'd drop a note so that you can adjust your efforts a bit going forward. Thanks! JohnInDC (talk) 12:06, 10 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Widr. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions, such as the one you made to Skyfall, because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, Widr (talk) 01:52, 28 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did at Logan International Airport, you may be blocked from editing. Let me remind you again to carefully read WP:AIRPORT-CONTENT on what is or is not to be included as a destination. It must be the same plane and flight number--DL BOS-DTW-ICN is not. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for persistent disruptive editing. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.   Ronhjones  (Talk) 21:22, 9 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

You have been warned previously about edits like these [1]. Some days, you are on the ball with things, but other days, you can be a really difficult editor. I'd like to see you make more constructive edits, since I know that you are capable of being an excellent editor.

In terms of your block, I'm sorry that this had to happen, but looking at your contributions and this talk page, you have received several warnings about unconstructive edits. We'd all like to see the constructive edit side of you come back to life. Also, please realize that you can get unblocked if you make a good unblock request. But read this guide first. If you show your capabilities to the administrators, you could be unblocked in the next 24 hours. Good luck with your future edits. World Traveller101 21:31, 9 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Benji, I want to add a few things:

  • 1. First of all, we all want you back on the project. We know you can do better. Some editors who are unconstructive are just not believed to do better. You were blocked to learn, not to hurt you.
  • 2. You might want to archive your talk page sometimes, so you can have easier discussions without all of those warnings weighing hardly.
  • 3. Remember that you can be unblocked if you make a convincing and credible unblock reqest about how you messed up and show to an admin (not me [for I am no admin for now], an administrator other than who blocked you).

Thanks Benji. Good luck. We hope to see you editing constructively once the block expires. Thanks.   World Traveller101 22:16, 10 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

"We blocked you"? "We" who? You do not have the privileges to block users. What's the point of this comment?--Jetstreamer Talk 22:51, 10 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
I changed the wording so it makes sense. World Traveller101 00:23, 11 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

May 2013 (Unblocked)

edit

Hi, Benji. Your block has automatically expired now. You are absolutley welcome back. However, you need to be careful with edits, such as the repeated addition at Beijing Capital Airport. Also, you have had several last chances, so you might receive less chances (i.e less warnings before a block). Please edit constructively, as some of your edits clearly show that you sometimes edit constructively. Welcome back, Benji. World Traveller101 00:05, 17 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
